Beachside Holiday Units

Great spot so close to the beach, manager was so friendly and helpful Our room was comfortable and the beds was really nice. We would stay here again it was very quiet and a great spot. It was handy being able to use washing machine. We really enjoyed walking out of our room onto the sand

Thank You Maryanne and Staff for a very relaxing and comfortable 3 day stay. Spacious and a very clean unit. Sea View and outdoor setting perfect. Nothing to Fault. . Especially the Management, Maryanne was so helpful and friendly.

This place is in such a beautiful location but the unit we stayed in was in desperate need of maintenance. Broken kitchen tap, broken towel rail, gas stove not working properly, chairs about to break, toilet seat not attached properly. The staff are absolutely wonderful - we reported the issues to them and they said they’d told the owner many times. The other issue was that direct beach access was fenced off by council working in the area.

Right on the beachfront and adjacent to a large park area. Walking track along the beach. Laid back with beach front units under $100 per night. Great value and lovely people to deal with. See you guys soon. And thanks for the mangoes, they’re delicious.

It's a sound holiday concept involving a picturesque peninsula, fun and interesting accommodation, and a prime location within a prime location - can't see any issues based on overall value for price paid, I've left some photos of my garden view unit to help show that making the property more modern and up to date was a great concept. I thought (based on my experiences as a guest) that the property was being gradually improved and new equipment and renovations are being gradually added...but I can't fully conclude that, hence the photos are numerous with this review to try to justify why I thought the property had a prime location with improving amenities.

Only providing one star as there is no option for none. I feel like I've stayed In a hotel that Gordon Ramsay has filmed, disgusting. Outdated, dirty, broken and my only regret is not staying elsewhere. The floors are chipped, sticky and dirty, the furniture was not stable and looked like they haven't been cleaned. The airconditioning wasn't working and upon inspection the filters have never been cleaned (see photo, YUCK). The flick mix on the sink was ready to fall off, gas burner didn't work, towel racks broken bad hand towels rack falling out of wall, rangehood light broken and half working. I can't believe this place is able to operate! To top it off the instructions on food waste encourages "throwing your scraps into the ocean". Anyone who is familiar with Far North Queensland is aware of crocodiles and this being far from "Eco friendly". After reading further reviews on TripAdvisor, it's apparent this has been a problem since atleast 2018 and the owners don't care for the upkeep or presentation. Safe to say, family is not impressed after what was supposed to be a nice stay. 🤢🤢
