we visited the cromwell for a birthday meal with friends. we were a group of 8 and everyone chose a different dish-great selection of specials and mains. the food was fantastic, my dish of Cod with samphire and a white wine sauce was delicious and perfectly cooked. all freshly cooked, tasty and beautifully presented with good portion sizes. excellent value for money amd great service too. Will definitely return.

Have not been here for a while so thought we would book a table for a meal to see how it was. Easy booking on the website. We had whitebait and olives and bread to start followed by the lamb and salmon as a main from the specials menu. Absolutely delicious!!! So good and perfectly cooked. Good service too other than not offered coffee or dessert. But i went to the bar and checked the menu again but we didn't have a dessert as very little to choose from, but that didn't spoil the meal . 10/10.

Lovely meal . We all had the lunch time roast and it was really nice and excellent value. I dont know how but we even managed a sweet and coffees. Will go again. The restaurant is very nicely decorated , airy and fresh with plenty of space around the tables. This was important to us as one of our group was disabled and we also had our 2 dogs with us.

Absolutely fabulous stay! We stayed for 2 nights B&B and had dinner here on the 2nd night. The rooms were clean and tidy, the owners, staff and locals were friendly and most importantly the food was of an excellent standard for a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend. X

Went for family get together birthday party staff were very attentive nothing was to much trouble food was of great quality and fresh great choice of ales and spirits very clean place will return if in area again would recommend a try you will not be disappointed

Great meal and friendly reception. Cosy setting with real fire. Plenty of good food on a quiet Monday lunchtime. Not rushed by the very attentive staff. I can recommend the liver and bacon. Well worth a visit now under new management and with decor.

Fabulous late lunch with family here on Saturday 20/01/24 Attentive staff, given the choice of size of meal from standard or large which is great for us as my elderley mum can't eat to much the plates were lovely & hot & the food was presented beautifully everything tasted amazing so much so we ordered puddings nothing was to much trouble & the table was kept clean & tidy Fabulous charming pub with alot of character & a warm welcome we will definitely be back

A lovely lunch time, roast beef dinner with an excellent dish of well cooked veg. Service, atmosphere and friendliness of staff could not be faulted. Good parking and disability access.Definitely a place to try.
