Overpriced and full of local wildlife: nesting birds in the attic of the bedroom (quite loud) and plenty of mice in the cupboards. When we complained about the mice and the droppings all over the kitchen (including on the plates, pots and pans, etc) the solution was to remove the mouse traps and deny there was a problem. An apology and a thorough cleaning or moving us to another cottage would have helped but sadly the owner became abusive instead accusing us of lying. We later learned it had been a bad winter for mice in NS so a seasonal place really needs to ensure any unwanted critter visitors are gone before paying guests start arriving and staying. The "friendly" manager did not follow COVID-19 protocols and partied with the guests, entering into one cottage when the couple were quarantining to party with them. I guess she needs friends? At first glance the place seems decent but completely overpriced for the state of decline it's in. It has potential but the way we were treated by the owner was completely unacceptable. Friends recommended it and when they saw the state it was in were shocked. The beach is rarely cleaned of seaweed and the photos are somewhat misleading. The only good thing about the place is the cleaning staff and grounds people ... when then they are there. They are completely professional and accommodating unlike the hostile owner or overly friendly manager.

I booked a stay at Larindas Landing during COVID lockdown (October 2021), and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite encountering unexpected circumstances that required a cancellation, I was met with a disappointing level of customer service. Upon reaching out to the staff to discuss a possible refund, I was met with a condescending and disrespectful tone that left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. The refusal to consider my situation and explore potential solutions seemed unreasonable and lacked the empathy one would expect from a hospitality business. Effective communication is crucial in the service industry, and I regret to say that the way my concerns were addressed fell far short of expectations. It is disheartening to encounter such an approach, especially when dealing with an establishment that relies heavily on positive customer experiences. I believe a business's success is not only measured by the quality of its accommodations but also by the level of customer service it provides. In this regard, Larindas Landing has room for improvement. I hope that future guests have a more positive experience or, at the very least, encounter a more empathetic and understanding response in case of unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately, my experience has left a lasting impression, and I am unlikely to consider Larindas Landing for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in NS.

Even with a PCR test showing positive for Covid-19, Larinda's Landing would not permit postponing our visit for more 1 week. They took our money and we never had a chance to stay. Bummer for us and we will not be giving them a visit in the future. If you decide to book with them, be sure not to get Covid.

Even with the hurricane, no refund possible, deposit and full amount been taking. Lot of money lost here even if you call weeks before your trip for cancellation they take the deposit and full amount. Definitely a bad situation here

I would like to mention the pros and cons . Pros where Beautiful setting , everything we needed to cook with was supplied . Bed was amazingly comfortable . Coffee and dried milk was left for us on arrival . Information on the area was available. Having a bbq with the property was nice . Geraldine was helpful with information on the area . Cons The property we had was near the road so a little noisy though this did not bother us . We had to be out the cottage at 10.30 which I asked if we could have slightly longer as we where waiting for family to pick us up , this was not possible as they had people due to move in . The main bedroom did not have a great area for hanging clothes , there was a very small open cupboard . We did message the property before arriving to ask what would happen if my husbands hospital appointment came through when we where due there( I did understand it was 5 weeks before we where due at the property and to cancel it needed to be 6 weeks before ) but thought I would see if there was any way around this . I received an e mail saying they have taken the full amount of my credit card and cancelled the property . After e mailing again they said the property would still be available which I said they may as well keep the payment , I did think this was a bit harsh as I never asked for it to be cancelled and did cause us some worry . We did still enjoy our stay at larindas landing and love the beautiful area around

We cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful little getaway spot. We were here on our honeymoon and it was lovely. Our cottage had a covered porch right on the water where we enjoyed our coffee each morning; regardless of the weather. The cottages are clean and equipped with everything you need. Also, the staff is wonderful…kind and very helpful. If you need a getaway to relax, this spot is ideal.
