We stayed at Boulder Broker Inn for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend for the Georgia Tech - CU game ( Go Jackets!!). We picked it for the price and the proximity to campus. It was about a 25 minute walk to Folsom Field. Our booking was through ******* and was non- refundable. The lobby is attractive and inviting with a small coffee bar near the check-in desk. We only saw the doors to the big room and pool area open once. No one mentioned anything about that area so, based on other reviews, I assume it’s still closed Now the room…. Fourth floor facing the parking lot. On the plus side, heavy blackout curtains made the room super dark at night. The water pressure in the shower was great. The beds and pillows were comfortable. On the negative side, which is extensive …. Exposed electrical outlets (no cover plate). Maybe one accessible outlets for charging devices. (Found one to plug into behind the bedside table into an expose outlet.) Dim lighting with old lamps. Literally threadbare carpet with subfloor showing through. Caulking issues in the bathroom, which had definitely seen better days. The towel bar fell off the wall the first time I pulled a towel off!! The only toiletries offered was one small tube of conditioner. The wall-mounted hair dryer worked briefly before shutting off. Moved it to the other outlet and managed to get the High setting to work sometimes. One major oversight, dare I say illegal, was the lack of any emergency evacuation procedures. Most hotels post these on the back of the door. Boulder Broker had absolutely nothing posted about emergencies anywhere. There was also no information about checkout times, WiFi, or nearby places of interest, restaurants, etc. Overall, this is a rundown hotel with a lot of potential due to its proximity to CU. If you’re only staying a couple of nights, it’s passable - barely. Guess there’s a reason it was “only” $150 per night when other Boulder hotels run $300-$400 per night. Definitely don’t book here if you’re looking for a 3,4,or 5 star stay. Otherwise, roll the dice and give a try.

This was truly the coolest hotel I've ever stayed at. The lobby is gorgeous. Friendly, knowledgable staff. I hope to have reason to stay here again.

I love this old school hotel. It's so interesting and fun compared to bland, so-called "updated" (read soulless and boring) hotels. FYI there's excellent coffee downstairs in the mornings and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. Friendly, interesting staff to talk to. I hope to go back to Boulder so I can stay here again. Thank you so much! (oh and be sure too take advantage of the staff recommendations booklet for places to go in Boulder. Their picks are fantastic. Because of them I went to the Village Coffee Shop (old school diner with amazing homemade food), which blew our minds. So good.)

The staff were terrific. This is an ideal mid-priced hotel particularly if you are planning to stay for more than a night.

The property looked historical and and you can see that they upgraded a few things. The lobby was very nice and clean and our room was cozy and comfortable. It did need more outlets. They only had French vanilla creamer for the coffee and the restaurant was closed. It was in a nice little area except the shopping center around the corner was somewhat sketchy.

No coffeemaker in room, nor hairdryer, nor any plastic cups in bathroom. Took 2 of us to get the tv to function,as the cable had to be propped up. Towel bar in bathroom (next to sink) fell off the wall. What happened to any amenities for the price? This was the 10th and final year of my patronage - it's taken a huge nosedive in the past few years.

This inexpensive hotel is good value, but next time I will pay more to get more. Positives: my room and the premises were very clean, A/C was very quiet, and the floor I was on (4th) was exceptionally quiet (I think I was the only one on the floor). The front desk staff were very friendly. And the hotel is just 100 yards from the famous Kicking Horse bar. (though note: locals tell me this bar is slated to close in the near future). Negatives: I seldom had working wifi, which meant I could not work in my room. The front desk staff acknowledged the problem but offered no solution. There is no breakfast option or restaurant. The room and hallways were perfumed, presumably to cover less pleasant odors. The location only makes sense if you have a car or enjoy long walks. Again, the price was very good, and if price is important to you, then I do recommend this charming, aging hotel.

Great location Could use some updates but it’s a great location. Especially for Boulder Boulder runners. Wish the restaurant was open.
