Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Harbor on Tudor Wharf

4.5 stars for our group, ages 12-75+ Location: ok, imperfect, but I'm not sure budget-minded visitors to Boston can do much better. We walked to the North T subway station; it was a popular pedestrian route. We walked to the USS Constitution. We took some Ubers into the heart of the city, which was affordable except during rush hour. I felt like I had inadvertently conned the Uber drivers because the traffic on the bridge was so bad. Rooms: 2nd floor, bridge side. I had no noise problem. Bring eyeshades, curtain clips etc if you need to block the light. My travel companion had loud AC next to the bed. They liked the bed a lot. My king bed was soft on one side, but good enough. Food: ok breakfast. Would love to see these places hiring a dishwasher instead of all the disposables. More unprocessed food would be better. Getting groceries and cooking a bit in-room worked well. Laundry: $3.50 for wash and $3.50 for dry. Clean facilities, worked. Detergent (and toothpaste) provided at desk on request. Service: at check-in, the gentleman asked if we wanted rooms together and then upgraded one room to make it work - great! Later, the lady tracked down quarters for my laundry -- Great!!

The hotel and rooms are lovely and updated (the location was perfect for the things we wanted to see). They have an indoor pool, breakfast is included and valet parking is convenient ($55 a day). Lisa checked us in and she was friendly and amazing! I got a bit lost trying to find the parking area and when I called the hotel for assistance, she was helpful, understanding and kind (Thank you Lisa!). Lisa provided us with a list of local eateries and a sightseeing map which was great! We stayed in room 707, the room is the perfect size for us, the view from the windows faces the highway/the TD Garden (which is fine, since we don’t plan to be in the hotel much anyway). I’m so glad we chose this hotel!
