My partner and I stopped at the cafe last October. It was a chilled little food place that was a welcoming relief from the outside weather that had turned bad. We had read about the cinnamon buns/rolls and they were delicious and did not disappoint, also nice coffee. They were quite huge and filling. Two coffees and 2 buns was 372 NOK when we were there, about $52 AUD. It was a bit of a mission to reach this place, but that was partly because of the poor weather, on a better day, the drive would be lovely. We chatted to the girl who worked there and she was very friendly and helpful with information about some local sights. Recommend highly to visit if you are in this area.

Unser Sohn wollte surfen und ich hatte nicht viel erwartet. Umso überraschender war dass wir das modernste und stylischste Apartment der ganzen Reise hier hatten. Und die besten Betten. Noch größer war die Überraschung beim Essen: sehr teuer aber wirklich exzellent, von den Zimtschnecken über asiatische Gerichte bis zum tollen Fischburger - alles hervorragend und originell präsentiert. Dritte Überraschung: die Bucht von Unstad ist wunderschön und den Surfern im Sonnenuntergang zuzuschauen ist wirklich toll. Die Landschaft ist grandios, genauso toll oder sogar besser als bei Haukland oder Uttakleiv. Es gibt allerdings weit und breit keine Alternative zum Essen und der nächste Supermarkt ist weit. Aber ich habe es überhaupt nicht bereut, hier zwei Nächte gewesen zu sein. Sehr cooler Ort.

If you are thinking about going to Lofoten? You need to swing by Unstad Artic Surf.... You wonder why, I'll tell you. There is a small Cafe there were you can take break, and you need to order a cinnamon bun and a Amerikano coffee. Because that is going to be the memory you will talk a lot about. The sign outside says "world's best cinnamon buns" ........ I dear you...... is it?? It's out of this world, best I ever tasted Go find out if you are in the area, you won't regret.

Lunch was so magnificent - the best mussels ever followed by the best cinnamon bun (yes it lives up to its hype) - we decided we had to come back for dinner. Unstad is perfectly situated to enjoy the midnight sun. We had perfect weather and were able to sit outside to enjoy the most delicious fish soup we’d had in Loften (and we’d eaten a lot of fish soup!) and the local whale stew - delish! The service and vibe of the cafe was superb, as was the location. A gem in Lofoten.

Like everywhere in the Lofoten islands it’s both breathtakingly beautiful and breathtakingly expensive! Having said that it was a supercool cafe, friendly staff, and a great surfer vibe. The nachos were delicious and the cinnamon buns (2 between 4) were more than enough even after our hike to the top of a nearby mountain! It’s a great place to hang out for a while and warm up.

We heard that you can get the best cinnamon buns of Lofoten here and went to the Unstad Arctic Surf Café. In my opinion, they were too sweet and overpriced (115 kr with whipped cream and two slices of fruits, 97 kr without). The cappucino (67 kr) unfortunately didn’t leave me with joy as well. Will not come again.

Juste pour les roulés à la cannelle je mets la note max , je n’en ai jamais mangé des aussi bon de tte ma vie c’était incroyable 🤤 ! Nous nous sommes arrêté là bas juste pour demander des renseignements et pour acheter des cinamon rolls ……..😅😂

Amazing experience. Such friendly staff and hands down the best cinnamon buns ever! Great stop off on your journey through the Lofoten islands. I would come back in a heartbeat! We didn’t surf but if you wanted to I think this would be a wonderful place to do it.

this is the place where they like to charge but not serve. it happened that i booked the place, they charged the money, then they did not reimburse even if there was a covid epidemic and no place was active so every place had to be cancelled. after a few years this year i booked again the places in Norway, but not in Unstad!!!!! they did not deserve to see me as their client.
