The Oak Inn Staplow

What a fantastic stopover (in our Campervans) for the four of us. All the staff were brilliant 👏 so attentive and so friendly including the owners (Heather and Chris, you were fab 👌👍). The food was awesome with a lovely varied menu at such reasonable prices, not to mention the varied choice of beers and wine. Many thanks to Mel and Vicky who went out of their way to be so helpful (and also the young lady, sorry didn't get your name, who was straight at the table with water when my wife had a coughing fit). You really have created such a lovely welcoming and friendly atmosphere, it was our first visit, but definitely won't be the last, just wish we lived closer. Easter Sunday at the Oak today was amazing! Service from Chris and Heather's team, provide a warm friendly welcome, and then the food! Great local products that deliver taste and quality. The Herefordshire beef was delicious!! Lovely time had by all. Thank you

My wife and I together with our granddaughter aged 11 visited here for lunch. We chose the Inn based on trip advisor reviews and hadn’t been before. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and led to our table in their restaurant area. The menu was extensive. We were advised about specials etc. We chose main meals of haddock and chips, game pie (with chips) and fish pie with a cheesy topping. All clearly cooked to order and were all piping hot and all very good. We couldn’t manage anything else as the meals were substantial but did have a look at the sweets on offer which were very tempting. With drinks and a tip came to about £70. Thank you to all concerned including those working in the kitchen. We will return at some point and were also shown the outside area too. Book to avoid disappointment as they can get busy.

My wife and I once again enjoyed lunch at the Oak today, the first of 2025. We have always been rewarded with good food and welcoming and friendly staff. The menu is varied and home cooked with daily specials and the bar offers a range of beers with regular local guest ales. We like the traditional English interior with its open fire and varied dining areas. We shall return again soon and wished we lived nearer so that we could take part in the very many special events that take place.

One to recomend A delightful stay We had one overnight stay at the Oak Inn Check in time of 13.00 is earlier than most places and it suited our needs well We were welcomed by Vicky, who was friendly and helpful explaining everything we needed Our room was delightful with a very comfortable king sized bed, pristine white bedding, plush soft furnishings and a window with a view across the countryside The modern bathroom was light and airy with a good shower and plentiful hot water The heated towel rail was a nice touch Especially worth a mention is the quality and quantity of the food served We ate a very tasty, well cooked evening meal here My husband particularly enjoyed the spare ribs For breakfast the next morning we were given a wide choice We ate cereals followed by a full english for my husband and poached egg and mushrooms on toast for myself Perfect Throughout our stay the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome Hopefully we will visit again one day Thank you Oaks Inn
