Overall, it's okay, but it feels overly expensive for a hostel. It feels like Paris is cheaper. The cost-effectiveness is not good, and compared to my trip to France 4 years ago, everything is more than twice as expensive.

Super nuit passée dans cette auberge bien située, Check in tardif à 1h du matin, bon petit déjeuner, personnel agréable 😊 (je n’ai pas testé les sanitaires d’où les 4 étoiles) lits confortables avec rideaux pour intimité, porte manteaux et coin lecture grand casier !

Location location location!
I loved my stay at the Central Hostel. The staff were super nice and helpful and the location is truly central and very walkable.
I stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm for the first time and the blackout blinds were a gamechanger for me. Other than a microwave there's no kitchen but there're an Aldi and Carrefour nearby which is super helpful.
The washrooms and the showers weren't the cleanest and it didn't feel like they were being cleaned daily but it's a hostel after all.
If I'd ever go back to Bordeaux, I'll definitely stay here but would book a female dorm instead.
