The hotel has a beautiful modern reception, but on entering the room, I was disgusted. There is a big sign outside the room, saying no smoking, but there were cigarette burns in the carpet. The decor was very dated, like from the 50s. The mattress was so thin, it was so bad my friend checked for bed bugs. I paid £520 for 4 nights, and a hostel would have been better.

The attitude of the service staff was very bad. Even though I paid for breakfast for two people, they actually ran to the parking lot and stopped me to ask for breakfast money. They also spoke in a very bad manner.

We have stayed at The Park a few times and found it very good. This time we stayed five nights and it was disappointing to say the least. First of all the staff were still amazing. The lift was broken for 4 days. The Hotel is not clean due to lack of staff.The two housekeeping staff were extremely helpful. I was very disappointed to find out they only clean your room after 4 nights unless you request it done sooner which we did. The stairs were not clean. Again lack of staff. Rachel on the front desk was still the best receptionist like she’s always been. The other girls were also very good although sometimes there was no receptionist again staff shortages. We would never consider staying there. The price we paid for our was absolutely ridiculous for the kind of Hotel It has become. The Premier Inn just up the rd is where we will be staying on our next trip to Liverpool Theresa & Stuart McDermid

We booked a large table for friends and family to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. From the first welcome to when we left we felt so looked after. Everyone commented on how lovely the hotel was and the food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again we'll definatley be back

We had our dads wake in the park hotel large function room. Buffet NOT good value for money scouse tasted burnt, Gluten free and vegan sandwiches inedible. Weather nice so many people sat outside and tables and chairs dirty with full smelly ashtrays and broken glass all over floor. I was very disappointed

We went for afternoon tea with a very large group to celebrate a 70th Birthday and it wasn’t worth the money. We expected the Scones to come with the Jam & Cream separate so we could make up our own and they were already made up and they were tasteless. The sandwiches were made from pre packaged shop bought filling. Wouldn’t recommend here. Save your money and go elsewhere
