Ocean Hill Hotel disappointed from the start. Staff were unprofessional during check-in, insisting on keeping our IDs despite hotel policy. The manager’s rude attitude made things worse. While dinner was good, breakfast was average, with watery curries and a refusal to serve more pol sambola. On the plus side, the location and garden were nice, and some staff provided friendly service. However, the rooms were just average, and we canceled our next booking due to the poor treatment. Wouldn’t recommend.

We stayed in a 'luxury' room for one night. Our idea was to have a restful time after a lengthy function that we had to attend in Galle. We were not disappointed. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The price was reasonable and we were happy with the services provided. There was an issue with the TV reception but the ever vigilant Chamara attended to it successfully. The setting is quite nice with a clean beach by the side and sea waves striking the rock stones on another side. We wish the hotel success in the new year 2023.

Had a great time at the Ocean Hill. Stayed here for a week and it was lovely and relaxing. Read the reviews beforehand and wondered what it would be like but needn’t have worried. The food was good especially the breakfasts. Plenty of choice at both lunch and dinner with the chocolate chip and strawberry ice a favourite. We were all inclusive and the drinks were good, definitely value for money. All the staff were friendly and happy with nothing too much trouble. Our 1 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean. Met some lovely people and had a good laugh. There was entertainment on 3 times a week (guitar player, singer and saxophone player - all were very good with the singer really excellent. Yes there are steps as it is built on a steep hillside but plenty of lifts and easy to get around once you get your bearings. A bit away from the centre of Puerto Rico and the beaches but plenty of taxis as walking in the heat not recommended. Would go back in a heartbeat.
