Overall a great two night stay at Cosmos with a few buts: Cold water only from the shower Water from shower smelled foul No air con (but we already knew that) We never actually managed to connect to the WiFi Blackout from 6:30-9:30pm one evening - not their fault but apparently it happens quite often and it can get very hot in the bungalows without the fan on; no candle or torch provided and my iPhone was too hot for the torch to be used! Grilled fish for dinner wasn’t too great - very bony river fish with very little meat - but maybe we just chose badly However the bungalow was comfortable and well priced, the staff were nice, the beachside setting sublime and nothing can be a nice cold Bintang whilst watching the sunset.

Set of 7 bungalows located between the road and the beach one behind the other and it is better to be in the first ones as close as possible to the sea and the view The +: - Large family bungalow with terrace upstairs - Large and functional bathroom - Meals taken on the terrace facing the sea - Pleasant breakfast - Very pleasant service from the young girls The -: - English spoken just for food - Noise from karaoke nearby - Also noisy near the entrance because of a bench and houses opposite where Ion speaks listens to the telephone late in the evening If you book in the 3 bungalows closest to the sea you will have a certain peace of mind..... as for the others it will be noise and always noise! Despite the pretty setting and the good quality/price ratio, the rating 2/5 for inconveniences is realistic

Very nice little place with a beautiful terrace on the sea where you can have breakfast, dinner or just relax. The rooms are cozy, clean with a nice private bathroom and there is place for up to 4 person each. Everybody is really nice, even if almost no one speaks english, but the owner is always readily available on watsapp if he's not around. There is not a real beach under the resort, especially with high tide, but you may always go back to the terrace or just walk 50 meters on the right or on the left. They can provide you a motorbike to rent. There are some stairs, especially to go down to the sea that are not too comfortable, so definitely you shouldn' t come here if you have little kids or mobility problems.

The time spent on the road from Makassar is worth it. The bungalows face the ocean with a covered terrace and hammock. The atmosphere is relaxing, the bungalows are well equipped (but no hot water). Breakfast is hearty.

Beautiful, spacious bungalow which came with a cute little attic room - I enjoyed the space for meditation and for working! The room was clean and comfortable and it came with a fun half open bathroom. Good powerful fans and nice interior design. The staff were friendly and the owner very helpful in our communications via WhatsApp. There is an on-site restaurant that serves a small selection of local food. The included breakfast was also pretty good with the choice of eggs & toast, pancake or nasi goreng. It would have been nice to have some filtered water, hot water, coffee & tea available as self service as is common in Indonesia, but these were available to purchase at the restaurant after 7am so it was not a big issue. The location is a little far from the village so you will ideally need a moped to get around (the water was pretty high during our stay so walking on the beach wasn’t possible). Thankfully one of the staff members was helpful enough to take me on their bike when I needed something from the shop urgently! The sea view from the restaurant is beautiful. There are steep steps leading to the water from the restaurant. The sea was choppy at the time of our visit but we managed to snorkel a little at the reef which was about 100 metres away - water was clear and the corals looked pretty healthy with some decent fish life around. Need to be safe and look out for the boats however as there is some traffic here! Overall we had a great experience staying here. Thank you!

Amazing, heart stopping view, nice cosy bungalows,quiet and serene,friendly staff and a good breakfast for the cheapest place on Bara beach ! What else could you wish for ???? Here is everything you gonna be needing on this stunning beach.

We had bungalow 4: double + mezzanine for our teenager (1 week) Very good option for our teenager! The mezzanine is a bit of a cabin (low ceiling access...) but that is precisely its charm and it allows you to separate a space for a third person. Perfect for us. Simple but very well decorated bungalow, fan and mosquito nets. Clean (cleaning done regularly) and bottled water provided every day. Large and beautiful terrace. Mattress a little too firm for us (springs). We had to add a foam mattress on top. Lovely and attentive staff. Indonesian and cool atmosphere. The clientele is mainly Indonesian and the hotel is especially full on weekends. Quiet even on weekends when all the bungalows were occupied (especially families) Breakfast is a bit tight: pancake or omelette or fried rice and tea or coffee. That was enough for us but it might require a little extra: fruit? fruit juice? fried eggs? Superb terrace overlooking the sea and the superb Bira beach! Best terrace in Bira! Very well placed. The owner gave us the contact details of a taxi driver. We were able to organize our transfer from Makassar airport. Very good and very practical. No stress.
