Needed convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great. For functionality cannot fault.

The manager at this IBIS was a genuine 5-Star success. He was professional, courteous, focussed and helpful. Having stayed in numerous 5-Star hotels in Japan, Hong Kong and Shanghai in the past 20 years (and trained staff at several hotels including Hyatt and Hilton), this guy would easily fit in with any one of them. A lovely little hotel next to M1, very convenient. Great service brilliant fresh full English breakfasts. Rooms a little small, but comfortable... with a nice hot shower too

The location is very convenient. We arrived at London Heathrow Airport in the evening and then took the bus to York. This location takes about 3 hours from London. It is very convenient to have a rest and sleep next to the highway and then drive up in the morning. The hotel environment is very good, clean, free parking, breakfast is OK, and the price is very attractive.

Must choose here for business trips to the headquarters, the hotel dining is very good, I like and enjoy it very much, enjoy it, there are Ole stores around, eat and drink, shopping and everything.

Clean but bed was uncomfortable. Ok if your passing through but not one for a family stay
