A historic hotel in the heart of Bologna, a cozy warm room with all the necessary: air conditioning, mini bar, safe, fan, electric kettle. Good breakfast, restaurant can also have lunch and dinner. And the most important is the excellent staff of the hotel who did everything to make staying at the hotel comfortable. I Visited Bologna solo for a long weekend (Friday to Sunday) check in desk is 24 hours which is helpful since I arrived later. The room was small but clean and well equipped the hotel is extremely well located, 30 seconds walk from the main square with plenty of restaurants and bars around. amazing breakfast included in the hotel. I would definitely recommend, and revisit next time I’m in Bologna

The hotel's location is excellent, a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore and via dell'Indipendenza (shopping street). Clean and well-kept rooms with modern furnishings and excellent room services (breakfast and pillow menu) Careful and very good breakfast (both salty and sweet) with the classics of traditional Emilian cuisine

Two stars because it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds. Thats about it. It is certainly not a five star hotel, which it purports to be. We arrived around 8pm and advised reception that we needed to leave for the airport at five am. At some point reception advises that the booking was for one person and they had to charge us for the second. I have never heard of this! So for the extra person for our 8 hour stay, they wanted €100! What the hell for? I looked on a booking sight and showed the receptionist that I could still book a room (which would come with a free bottle of wine) for two people for exactly what I paid. Receptionist kept saying that it would be more if i booked through the hotel. Lets follow the logic here. Why would i book directly through the hotel if the same room is less on a booking sight? The most irritating part is that she kept laughing inappropriately for some unknown reason. The male receptionist kept insisting that the € 100 was for the ”free” hot breakfast. We reminded him that we had to leave before breakfast was served. He assured us that there would be a cart full of food in the morning before we left. Long story short, that did not happen. There was a cart with coffee and a few pastries. But wait, there's more! The man at the reception in the morning told us that if we had asked, they would have made us breakfast. That would have been nice if it was ever suggested by reception at check in! A real five star hotel would have just taken the initiative to prepare the bagged breakfast for us given the conversation had the night before. I also enjoyed how the staff talked down to us insisting that a €100 per person euro fee is totally normal. Because I've never stayed in a hotel before! Thats sarcasm btw. Again, this certainly was not a five star experience. And just to compare apples to apples, we stayed at a four star hotel when we arrived in bologna 10 days earlier. It was 1/5 the cost, the staff much more accommodating and was just as comfortable and nice. So do yourself a favor and ignore the alleged five star rating and save your money and nerves by staying anywhere else.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is within walking distance from Plaza Maggiore and the twin towers. The room is clean and tidy and the space is suitable. Although it is on the side of the street, the windows are very soundproof. The car should be parked in the parking lot next to the VIII parking lot. The elevator comes up to McDonald's, and the hotel is further ahead. The hotel registers the license plate when checking in, and the hotel will help process ZTL records when checking out. Because Italy generally charges for children over 2 years old, they always book a triple room with a double bed and a single bed.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel Donatello. The location is fantastic, walking distance from the train station and from many of Bologna’s attractions. Staff were welcome and helpful, room was spotless, bed was comfortable. Great all round, thank you!

We stayed in February. The hotel is very cozy and luxurious. I would give 5 stars for the interior. The hotel is like a palace: sculptures, paintings, rich velour furniture, chic chandeliers. The hotel is large, 6 floors, many rooms, long corridors with a carpet, paintings on the walls and mirrors. The standard room is made in a classic style, fabric on the walls, rich curtains, 10 meters. There is a kettle with coffee and tea. Excellent bed, pillows, bed linen. The room has a bath and bidet. For the first time I see intimate gel in disposable bags. Lots of towels of excellent quality. There was no robe and slippers. Breakfast is delicious, lots of jars of yogurt, jams, honey. They bring coffee, four types of croissants. There is a hot dish, omelet, bacon, pancakes. There is no champagne at breakfast, juices from bags. It's convenient to walk to the railway station with a suitcase, 4-5 minutes. At a cost of 11 thousand per night for two - a luxurious hotel. I recommend it.

Rooms were really huge.We had a bath with hydromasage, breakfast was great to. Overall decent hotel. Recommend

I recently stayed at a hotel booked through trip.com and found it to be in a good location. However, it's important to note that there is no free parking on site. Additionally, the rooms were rather small. Despite this, everything else about the hotel was great. The service was excellent, the facilities were well-maintained, and I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay overall.
