Great hotel with very good service and in a best location. The hotel also offers a garage for 40 euros per day. This is about 3 minutes away from the hotel.

This was our second visit to this hotel. The receptionists at this hotel were the nicest we met during our several trips to Bologna over the past year. We used the parking facilities which are a few minutes away and the process works just as described. The parking garage is very secure and the porter from the hotel came to help us with our bags. There were also excellent directions to reach the hotel garage. I had been concerned in advance as Bologna has lots of small narrow streets going in one direction only, but the directions supplied in advance were perfect. Do visit the restaurant and bar of the hotel. We missed it the first time around as the entrance from the hotel side is through a small door which is closed when the bar/restaurant is not open. A great hotel right in the heart of Bologna. I would certainly stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was ready on arrival an hour early; the room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bath was a good size for Europe. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast buffet was offered many foods from sweet to savory, and eggs and omelettes were available upon request. We would definitely recommend Hotel Corona d'Oro.

Exceptional service in a perfectly located hotel. We were two couples on a first visit to Bologna. Our rooms were immaculate, the bathrooms clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was very important during our mid-day rest when it got too hot for sightseeing. Staff were attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Highly recommend this hotel. It also has a restaurant with a small piazza of its own at the back, perfect for aperitivi or dinner al fresco.

We had drinks and snacks on the terrace. The waitress was working so hard to service every table. She was on her own with about 35 people to serve. Nobody came out to help her. The management need to get her some help or give her a raise. She did amazingly well. Only to be let down by her managers. With the hotel charging around €800 a night this is not what I would expect. At least 6 people stood up from their tables because they didn’t get served.

Stayed here for three nights in March. Very nice desk staff. Excellent location in the pedestrian zone in Bologna. Beautiful lobby. Fine room (with a minor plumbing problem that was quickly addressed). One shortcoming: breakfasts here are not up to the same level as comparable hotels in Italy; quite disappointing selections and quality was a bit off. Staff in the breakfast area not quite as friendly or helpful as they might have been.

Perfect Old town Central Bologna hotel. Quiet good size rooms with good linens. Clean with comfy beds and good breakfast buffet . Friendly reception staff who gave good advice on restaurants abd tours. Great location for strolling round the city.
