This hotel is a traditional style hotel. We liked it a lot, it was very comfortable. We had the best nights sleep there. And isn't sleeping the most important thing in a hotel? We liked the traditional room, it was cozy, with a balcony too, The service was helpful. The facade of the hotel building is not beautiful (in my opinion) but inside is a good hotel. We would definitely stay there again. It's convenient to the train station and to the city centre. The breakfast was pretty good.

Мы жили в этом отеле одну ночь 9 февраля, затем поехали куралесить по северной Италии и вернулись на три ночи снова в отель Роял Карлтон, потому что он нам очень понравился после первой ночи в Болоньи.
Второй раз вместо обычного стандартного номера я заказала улучшенный номер. И что я получила:
из плюсов: больше площадь номера на пару метров
дополнительное второе кресло у столика + большую ширину кровать, два метра, вместо 160 и всё!!!
Зато минусов по сравнению со стандартным номером было полно:
1. Грязный усталый номер: шторы грязные, у кондея вокруг черные обои, на потолке трещина во всю комнату
2. ванна: вместо ванной был душ, а нам была необходима именно ванна, чтобы отмокать после прохождения по городу 20 км
3. вид с окна был на помойку на улице, но это мелочь, окна отличные, улицы не слышно совсем
4. самое неприятное - это ДВЕРЬ в номере к соседям, то есть это смежный номер, у нас был 202 и он смежный с 201. В 201 поселили немцев и я (русская) слышала всё, всё, что говорят, как чихают, как кашлюют и прочее.
Поэтому переночевав одну ночь я пошла на ресепшн и по гугл-переводчику написала, что хочу сменить номер.
В феврале оказалось: нет номеров.... конференция... полная загрузка...но мне дали, не улучшенный, а снова стандартный на 6 этаже, но с ВАННОЙ и даже с балконом.
Я согласилась переехать из улучшенного в стандартный, хотя улучшенный стОил дороже стандартного, мне было всё равно, главное спать в тишине и лежать по вечерам в ванне.
Отель всё так же красив, кормят хорошо, в номере прекрасное постельное бельё и подушки, удобная кровать, что 160 , что 2 метра,
так что отель всё равно рекомендую и поняла, что НЕ стоит переплачивать за улучшенный номер, нам вполне хватило стандарта.

A little tired, but remembering the days of luxury hotel. But that's exactly what I wanted - with carpets, marble, armchairs and paintings on the walls! The location is perfect - five minutes walk from the station and the same to the center. Breakfast is quite sufficient, lots of cheeses, fruits, yogurts, muesli, pastries - for every taste. The room is spacious and clean to the extent that a retro room can be. The service is very friendly. Only the cleaning service burst into the room when we were resting, despite the "do not disturb" sign - that's strange.
We will be happy to come back here
