Almarossa

This hotel is superb. It was exactly what we needed. We had two apartments which are a bedroom and sitting area plus a nice kitchen and a very nice bathroom. The hotel is pristine, safe and well-located. We parked on the street in front of the hotel and because we arrived on Saturday and stayed through Monday AM we only had to pay for parking on Monday 8:00-10:30 AM. More importantly it is an easy and interesting walk into the city center. We loved our Bologna days and look forward to a return visit. The Almarossa is so nicely managed and the rooms of are of a very high quality. It was especially nice to come back from a hot day of touring and enjoy the excellent AC and comports of the rooms. We are a family of four and took two rooms, we could have managed with just one thanks to the pull out couch. The morning breakfast was also excellent. We enjoyed everything presented plus the coffee machine in the room and the wine which we enjoyed in the afternoon. This is a fabulous place to stay. Yes there is noise from the street outside but that is o my because Bologna is a lively city that is full of life. If we wanted pure quiet we can find that at home :) stay here and enjoy!

Clean convenient friendly

The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were pleased with the location as it was a short walk to the train station and main tourist attractions (around 10 minutes). Staff were very accommodating and communicated well before and during the stay. We were arriving outside of the hotel reception hours and clear instructions were given to access the building and our room. The property was located on a busy street/road and it seemed to came alive at night and we found it pretty noisy, even with windows and shutters closed we found it difficult to sleep.However, when walking around the city centre most hotels and apartments are located in busy areas and near to a road (we’ll just remember to take ear plugs next time).

This hotel was not what I expected. The receptionist was rude and noncooperative. The shower was not working. The rooms were furnished with the IKEA cheap furniture. I won’t recommend this hotel.

Spend 3 nights at Almarossa...within 15-20 minutes walk from train station but totally worth the walk. The building is re-modeled in its inside so apartment was clean, spacious, and very nice. With fully equipped kitchen, dinning room and sofa besides the spacious room. Very nice bathroom. They offer breakfast service for 6 euros, they leave a paper bag on your door on the morning of the type of breakfast you choose...not great but it is ok. Personnel was very nice and helpful. They have laundry center on their basement that was very useful. Also lockers and luggage keepers so if you do the check out they will keep your luggage until your train departs. Ask for a high floor apartment because the building is located on a busy street and is noisy. Definitely a gem in Bologna!
