Comfort Suites Airport

It's literally within walking distance from Boise Airport, so not a bad walk if it's nice out. Wifi was an issue, got fixed, the front desk lady, Claudia, very nice helped out and got it fixed, but off with connection issue again next morning. Didn't get to eat breakfast because it closed at 9AM...the bed is rather soft and it's very similar to Holiday Inn Express in set up...

Let me start with a list of things that I saw where broken/out of order: 1. 4 light bulbs in the room were out 2. Treadmill would immediately stop mid run (twice before I realized it would just keep happening and it wasn't safe) 3. AC in workout room (it was literally 100 degrees in there) 4. Ice machine 5. Guest laundry Any of the above could be understandable, but all at once means it is just poorly maintained. And now for the big issue. We booked the hotel and specifically looked for a hotel with a gym and a pool (we have kids who love the pool). 10 min after check-in, they are begging to go swim, so we take them. Some other guest come in and as soon as they came in, the front desk guy comes in and says the pool is closing in 5 min. I tell my kids to wrap it up and go talk to the maintenance guy and ask why the pool is closing and when it will be opened again. He says it is all working, but the manager told him to shut down the pool and workout room until further notice. I guess they had some rowdy kids the week before and they were fed up with dealing with them, so were just shutting things down. They other family came out and there was a verbal altercation in the hallway with that family. Yelling back and forth. Very non-professional. At this point we were done with the hotel and so called ******* to try and cancel the room and go elsewhere. ******* needed to get approval from the manager, who was now unavailable for the 3 days/2 nights we were there. How convenient. I understand their plight, and understand why they may have closed it. But then I should have the right to cancel as I purchased based on their amenities. The pool and workout room were opened the next evening, but we now had a very bad taste left in our mouths because of the unprofessional behavior and treatment we received here. Do not stay here.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel because it had airport in its name. It was very quiet and comfortable. I got the room with the jacuzzi tub and spent a long time soaking in it which was great after hours of driving. The tub would easily have held two people. Breakfast was pretty good, including lots of hot choices. I would stay again.

Not great Check in staff were miserable. The rooms were just ok.
