We stayed at the Ecolodge one night before heading out into the jungle for three days, 2 nights with the local guides (https://www.local-guides.org/indonesia/bukit-lawang-jungle-trekking/) can also highly recommend this tour provider !).
Overall the accommodation was fine for the night. The restaurant at the Ecolodge is absolutely adorable and such a nice place to have some drinks and food (minimum amount for paying with a credit card is 80.000 IDR , so I would recommend to bring some cash !).
Also we were able to store our bags at the Eco lodge while we were out in the jungle ( per night and bag 10.000IDR including a locker for valuables ,also cash ).

This location is perfect! Stunning and looks onto the river. The rooms are spacious and very comfy, with mosquito nets to over the whole bed.
Service at reception was excellent and we were able to keep our luggage there over night for storage while we did an overnight jungle trek. (Highly recommended) I used Izoen, the guide, to help me organize everything needed for an enjoyable hike. Hafiz was also amazing and such a wonderful person to help when I didn’t feel well and took me to the pharmacy nearby. Very convenient, warm people and safe👌
There was just one thing I would have really liked. In the room there is no kettle and coffee/tea cups to make your own coffee and tea in the room. I think this could be a nice addition - since there are such beautiful balconies and porches to sit outside.
Also there was no shower gel or hand soap in shower area. But there was a hand soap by the sink.

Un hôtel propre et bien situé pour les excursions de la jungles qui mènent aux orangs-outans. La nourriture était bonne et la majorité des employés y étaient accueillants. Nous étions en mesure de nous préparer sur place pour les excursions qui nous attendaient.

Siamo arrivati tardi a questa struttura e non abbiamo potuto viverla pienamente, ma al mattino dopo presto,dopo la colazione, verso le 7 siamo andati con la guida a fare un’ escursione nella foresta e siamo riusciti, seppur sotto la pioggia, a vedere due orangotanghi allo stato brado sugli alberi. Si arriva all’ingresso dopo aver attraversato un ponte tibetano sul fiume (pieni di valigie!!!!) e le camere sono a ridosso e piuttosto confortevoli. La sala per le colazioni è molto accogliente.

We have just spent the most amazing few days in Bukit Lawang. Everyone associated with the ecolodge - from staff to guides to drivers - has been amazing. The two-day trek to see orang-utans was a wonderful experience that we will all (including our daughters aged 13 and 11) remember for the rest of our lives. We would highly recommend the ecolodge and associated tours - for the service, the experience and the fact that we have been able to support the amazing work the team is doing to protect the wildlife and local environment.
