We recently stayed at the Mithi for one week on November and it was a beautiful hotel to stay at, the pool and views are beautiful, we did snorkelling just off the beach the hotel has a boat and they will take you out to the reef which is really good, the rooms are cleaned great, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful they are all great, the food is very nice but you do need to add a few more vegetarian options to the menu, there is not much around so you do need to rent a motor bike or pay for a tuk tuk to see the island, I would definitely recommend staying here, Thankyou for a great holiday! No doubt this is a beautiful location with amazing views. The accomodation also very nice, clean, well appointed, good Wi-Fi, with all rooms with a view. Really nice swimming pool and surrounds to relax. In my opinion there are 4 main features to a memorable stay: 1. The ambiance of your surrounds 2. The comfort of your accomodation 3. The staff friendliness and attention to service 4. Food and other services. There is however one glaring issue that should be noted as missing from our stay- good food. To be honest I do understand the challenges to deliver fresh food all year and staffing issues that also come into play, but that is the establishment challenge to overcome either through smart menus design or innovative cooking (if no chef or staff can’t cook stay out of kitchen). The food we ate was just horrible, overcooked, looking as bad as it tasted with first mouthful . I make no mistake- the owner was very nice, welcoming as were her staff but I do feel sure the lack of attention to food quality and broader offerings will prevent people from coming or returning. I wish you all the very best and trust people will come as we did and enjoy the beautiful space and surrounds.

Very beautiful and tranquil location.
Room was pretty basic, with one mattress and a wall fan. Could be quite hot during the day but fan does the job pretty well at night.
You have to bring your own toiletries ‘cause they don’t provide any but bath towels.
Service was really nice, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Even gave us discounts on some of the river activities.
You could also rent a motorcycle which is a must to tour Bohol.
Wifi only works at the lobby/dining area, which is fine, cause mobile data works pretty well.
Overall, very good stay, very beautiful river which is right in front of your accommodation.

Outstanding
GGuest UserExcellent location. Amazing sunsets. The service is excellent. We enjoyed the free cocktails on Wednesdays and Fridays. And we enjoyed the free popsicles and juice when you lounge at the pool. The staff will go out of your way to take care of you. Very large rooms
HH.GomezWe recently stayed at Azul de Panglao with our family of five, and it was a fantastic experience! Here's why we highly recommend this hotel:
Outstanding Service: From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
Spacious and Comfortable Rooms: Our room was very spacious, featuring three big beds which comfortably fit our family. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy environment for relaxation after a day of exploring.
Great Value for Money: Compared to other hotels in the area, Azul de Panglao offers great value for money. The price is significantly cheaper while still providing excellent amenities and service.
Complimentary Breakfast and More: We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast of bread and butter every morning, which was a nice touch. Additionally, free water was available anytime, and they even provided bananas, which the kids loved.
Nice Amenities: The hotel boasts a nice shower with ample toiletries and towels provided. The pool was a big hit with our children and a perfect spot for a refreshing dip.
Convenient Location: Azul de Panglao is conveniently located just a short tricycle ride away from Alona Beach, probably around 1 km. This made it easy for us to enjoy the beach and nearby restaurants without any hassle.
Overall, Azul de Panglao exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it for families looking for a budget-friendly, comfortable, and hospitable place to stay in Panglao. We will definitely be back!
AAndreyThe hotel is very nice and clean! Drinks and food are of high quality. Stuff is very friendly and professional. I'll definitely choose this hotel for the next stay
GGuest UserThis was our first stop in our trip to the Philippines. They were very friendly, polite and extremely helpful with us. We arrived with only one piece of luggage as the other one got stuck in Barcelona. They helped us trying to get in touch with the airline company. We stayed with them for 5 days and the rooms were very clean. The place is well located only a short walk to Alona Beach. Thanks for a great stay!!!
GGuest UserVilla level enjoyment 😋, you can play in the water when you open the door... It's very relaxing, especially you can have free popsicles, you can eat from the freezer at the door... Both adults and children love it.
SSebastien GUYPositive side:
The hotel is close to the Alona beach via the second hotel of the same brand. You can access to sunbed of the second hotel but not of the beach pool. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.
Improvement side:
The noise isolation is low but remains acceptable. Buffet quality could be improved despite of a large range of food. For the same price, we think that we can discover others restaurants in the area. Next time.
Final, we recommend
GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel and overall, my experience was a blend of positives and areas for improvement.
Firstly, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made for a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist and made me feel welcomed.
However, it's worth noting that the lack of an elevator could be a challenge for some guests, especially those with heavy luggage or mobility issues. While the staff are willing to help with bags, I would advise against bringing too much or heavy luggage to avoid inconvenience.
The option for transportation from the hotel to the pier port (Panglao to Tagbilaran) at a reasonable cost of 800 pesos was convenient and appreciated. It saved me the hassle of arranging transport myself.
In terms of room amenities, the absence of a cabinet was a bit inconvenient, and having only one bedside drawer limited storage space. Additionally, encountering an air conditioning remote in Chinese was unexpected. While a translator app or assistance from the front desk resolved this issue, it could be an inconvenience for guests not familiar with such technology.
On the bright side, the cleanliness and softness of the sheets enhanced the comfort of the stay. However, some corners of the shower could use more attention in terms of cleanliness.
The place was overall quiet in terms of other in-house guests, but at certain times in the morning, it can get a bit noisy from the neighbor's dogs, which woke me up. Understandably, it's out of the hotel's control. While there were aspects of my stay that I enjoyed, such as the friendly staff and comfortable bedding, there are areas where improvements could enhance the overall guest experience, particularly in terms of room amenities and cleanliness.
Overall, the room price for the stay was reasonable and offered good value, complementing the overall experience. Would definitely recommend this place and rebook for future trips.
GGuest UserI'm surprise to read quite a few negative reviews here about this hotel. Unfortunately, it pulled their ratings down as well. Too bad as this hotel really did a great job for us. First off, the staff was friendly and super accommodating! This is a last minute overnight booking for us. We were supposed to stay with a family but since our flight got delayed, we had to book here for the meantime. The late night airport transfer (airport pick-up) was the most convenient, as well as very helpful. The driver even offered to take us grocery shopping if needed. I mean, our flight arrived 1030pm via Korea (with 10hours layover) so both my teen son and I were exhausted. It's good to know we have someone reliable and friendly waiting for us. Despite the late night check-in, the staffs were smiling, cheerful and gave us a welcome lei necklace or shell necklace. It's my teen son's first time in Bohol, so he was happy at this unexpected welcome experience. Furthermore, our booking included a dinner for 2 but since we missed that due to our flight delay and will be checking out the next day, the staff changed that to 2 free lunch instead. That's another convenience for us, since our family will pick us up after lunch the next day. Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable - 2 double beds, strong shower pressure, cold a/c and our room included a welcome water bottles for us, which again is an add on convenience for us (esp. arriving super late at night). With a teen in tow, WiFi is important. No issues on that as their WiFi was pretty strong. The hotel itself is situated in the quiet side of Pangloa, which is a plus for us exhausted travelers. We slept and rested very well that night after a nice hot shower. The next day, my teen was excited to look around the hotel property. The pool area was clean, huge and nicely decorated. It has that island feel to it. Unfortunately, it rained and there's a lightning/thunder alert hence he was unable to swim in the pool. However, we had fun strolling around the property. It has a welcoming vibe to it. We ate at their restaurant for lunch, even invited family over. Over all, a convenient, relaxing- stress free and comfortable overnight stay here. Will we stay here again? Definitely!
GGuest UserI always stayed at Alona Beach, but there were too many people and it was crowded, so I moved to a quieter place. Since it was in a place where local Filipinos live, it was quiet and secluded, there was no solicitation, and there was no noise from tuk-tuks or motorcycles, so it was really nice.
The room was clean and well-organized overall, and very spacious. Except for the weak water pressure in the bathroom, the air conditioner worked well, and the bedding was clean. There were a lot of ants, but I think that's to be expected in nature.
Since it's an open space on the main street, a security guard works at night for safety. It's close to Dolho Beach with white sand and the luxurious Modala Resort, so it's good for an outing.
MMichaelThe resort was quite quiet which is what we wanted, but felt like off season. There was some renovation and the restaurant closed a little earlier than we would have liked. (there was no information about renovation when we booked the resort)
Having said that, the resort was very clean and well looked after.
