The Claremont Inn

Pub was shut so somebody waited for me to arrive. Felt uncomfortable entering on my own through the back of the premises and the fire exit. Everything was discussed by text. Would not stay again.

Very comfortable room ideal for travelling workmen

An amazing night out a really good night a wide variety of drinks a wide attraction of pool darts music and t.v. from now on we will go here as a search for a gentle night. They even offered to pay for the some of the drinks. Aswell as all this there was simply incredible WiFi. I sum this up with 5 stars.and the people at the working side of the facility were simply determined to give everyone an amazing experience as-well as pulling up an amazing conversation. simply eye opening that they might spoil there work for us the customers thank you Claremont.

My friend hired the function room for a birthday party. Turned up at the time it was booked for yet the venue wasn’t emptied. Half an hour in Staff still has guests in the venue watching the football although the place had been hired. Control freak staff spending 5 minutes checking real IDs bending them and and scratching them causing buying drinks to be a drag. Creepy lady with blonde hair staring through the glass of the door to the outside area while people were trying to enjoy themselves. After wasting half an hour keeping other guests in and watching football, they also made all of the party guests leave because of two boys. They told them everyone has to leave unless they get out, so they both left yet the rude blonde lady still decided to remove everyone. Not the place to hire, Made everyone’s nights awful and they just want money.

I stayed alone here for two nights and found this to be good budget accommodation. I received a warm welcome, got shown to my room. This contained a very comfortable double bed, a hanging rail, bedside cabinets, TV, tea, coffee, kettle and hairdryer. The bathroom had a walk in shower, loo, loo rolls, sink, towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Everything was well cleaned. The rooms are above a sports pub in a side road with cafes, the town centre and the beach all within 5 mins walk. The railway station is a good 10 minute walk away, longer with luggage. Lots of eating and drinking places, theatre, cinema, Morrisons supermarket, buses, all within walking distance. Its important that you notify the Claremont of your arrival time. This is to make sure someone is there to check you in. The rooms are above a pub, so there was some noise, noises of plumbing in the other rooms and some street noises. But nothing to spoil the stay and I felt safe. Rooms are accessed via a metal staircase outside the pub. And there were some steps to access rooms. So may not be ideal for people with mobility issues, although I managed. I came by train, which was easier than finding parking in the area. Overall I would recommend a stay here when visiting Bognor.
