Hadn't stayed at The Kendall for several years, so was looking forward to this trip. This is an older, historic property so I knew what to expect. It was nice to see that the bar and restaurant were open. The renovation was done really well. The outdoor patio offered a very nice view. The room, however, was a disappointment. The gap around the door barely allowed the lock bolt to catch. It also allowed an awful lot of light in the room. The bed or the room tilted so the foot end of the bed was higher than the head end. The mattress, and I use the term loosely, felt as old as I am. Reminded me of the feather beds at my grandma's hose as it caused you to roll to the middle of the bed. The shower in the old claw foot tub sprayed water over the shower curtain onto a bookshelf that was hanging on the wall and soaked the few items we had placed there. Thankfully, the supply of towels in the room was enough to clean up the water on the floor. The large water bug didn't seem to mind the added moisture.
I really like this motel. I hope the owners will take the time to notice the little things that make staying at an older property enjoyable.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights after our wedding. We rented the 'Enchanted Cabin' and it was absolutely gorgeous inside. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and exactly what we imagined for our wedding night. It's close enough to a small ***** in Boerne that you can walk and enjoy some local shops. The staff was very nice and accommodating and brought us a corkscrew to our room late at night. My favorite thing about the room was the large bathtub. It was nice to enjoy a warm bath after a long day. Overall, everything was incredible and well worth the price.

Our stay was incredibly peaceful. Our room was spacious and clean. The location was ideal, being just a short walk away from local shops and restaurants. Even their on site restaurant was amazing and convenient for a last minute meal after a day of exploring the town. Overall, it was an incredible experience. Definitely looking forward to another visit!

Check in was a bit of a mess our room wasn't ready till 4 was told it would be ready by noon. Had a wedding to get to that started at 5 that was 20 miles away... needless to say was a bit rushed to get dressed for it. Another couple went with us sepeperate rooms and theiy got a call at 11 telling them there room was ready. Otherwise will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place! The staff was great and the rooms were very clean. The only issue was a very loud heater system right by our room that kept me up.
