The Aegean Gate Hotel

We liked this property although it is a bit run down & there is a lot of potential especially with the outside area. The bathroom was really dilapidated & only 1 person could fit in there at one time. The caretaker does not speak English but was helpful & friendly. There was an electrical problem but we called someone who came & fixed it. There was a sign on the room that it is licenced & only food & drinks consumed are purchased at the property but we saw no evidence of food & drinks other than water..there is a supermarket & I have put walking directions up & the bus route to the Bodrum town.. The bus stop is right by the supermarket. I hope someone has the insight to bring this property to life!

This is not a hotel but a second-class AirB&B. See picture of the entrance of the so-called "hotel" ! It took us half-an-hour to find the place simply because it is not known as an hotel. Then nobody at reception at 8 pm, and no note left to provide us with the basic information. We had to ask a neighbour to call for us to find out how to get in the property and what room was assigned to us ! The unit is ill-furnished and not properly maintained: broken wooden table on the terrace, no light in the bathroom, no A/C in the bedroom. We left at 10 am the next day and did not get to see anybody either, except the housemaid. Yes, it is only 700 m (!) from the sea but it's a very winding and very steep walk. Charging 126 euros for the night is outrageous. Given all this, how can this be the 3rd best hotel in Bodrum ??? This is a joke !!!

Beautiful clean and simple rooms with lots of natural light. The host was so nice and helped me organize a taxi as well as gave me lots of recommendations for things around Bodrum. I loved the location because it was beautiful and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!
