Hotel Istankoy Bodrum

It was our second time staying at this hotel and would definitely recommend it The staff were amazing and very friendly Erhan was extremely friendly and helpful (Your son is a credit to you very polite and always helpful) And memet on the back gate is was pleasure meeting him The staff from room service to the bar and the kitchen made our stay a memorable one And Hassan and all of your team are great ( shake em up ) See you again in September Regards to you all Bill & Mandie

This was a lovely hotel right in the heart of Bodrum close to the sea, beach, restaurants, harbour and shops (and around 40 mins transfer time from the airport). I spent most of the holiday in the hotel by the pool - it felt too hot to do much else and the hustle culture at the restaurant and shops in Bodrum with them vying for your custom doesn’t appeal to me at all. The rooms were comfortable and spacious enough. I was on the top floor and could see the sea from my balcony space. Being central it is quite noisy around through the night. The hotel breakfast buffet was lovely and the lunch/dinner menu had a vast range from local dishes to English favourites (I never thought I would have a Traditional Sunday roast in Turkey). You could eat here every night and have something different . I don’t think Turkey is as cheap as it used to be or as people make out and in Bodrum you have to watch out for extras being added to bills so it was relaxing just to chill around the hotel. The staff were all friendly and attentive and there was music, entertainment and Bingo on evenings over the course of the week. The bar was well stocked and fairly reasonably priced, a local beer under £3 draught. The hotel is smallish and there were not too many children(and it’s not a young party hotel either) so it it had a nice peaceful vibe which was relaxing.

This hotel has staff that steel you money if you don’t get a safe. We thought we were the only ones until finding out at reception others had same thing happening. Please be aware and hide your valuables. The entertainment guys were great. Reception staff not great and hotel manager we felt may of known more about the thefts. Beware of insecure windows also. Our money was stolen very quickly on arriving when no forced entry

Firstly to the management and the staff, what a great holiday! Typically you get what you pay for when it comes to life. Anything beyond is an extra, that seals the likelihood of your return. I won't be coming back as its time for the next generation to enjoy
