The service of the staff at the hotel was excellent very friendly staff and very helpful the hotel is very close to Budhagaya and you can walk from the hotel to Budhagaya the food is also good convenient place Rooms are average standards and value for money

Having stayed at 5 or more "hotels" at Bodhgaya, it would be fair to say that Hotel Om International is no better or worse than its peers (i.e. room isolation is lacking, there may be large noisy pilgrimage tour groups to deal with, breakfast can be a hit or miss... etc) The good: Location provides easy access to the Mahabodhi Temple, fairly quiet, pricing is reasonable, friendly staff / The not-so-good: Room has seen better days and maintenance can be improved; Hot water is rationed and only comes on during certain hours. Still, given that most of you will be visiting Bodhgaya to take part in a joint spiritual experience, it would be churlish to expect similar standards as a "hotel" in more developed cities. It is for this reason that I have always rated hotels in Bodhgaya a 3/5 😀. Would I stay here again then? I just might with a caveat: if the newer hotels nearby are not available.

This is an Indian-style hotel. Many foreigners will find it too basic, but I found it better than equivalent hotels I have stayed at in Bodhgaya over the past decade. In my experience, you cannot expect the same standards in Bodhgaya compared with big cities in India. For me, it was a good rate, the hotel is central (albeit not on the main drag), it has a decent restaurant, and staff try their best. If considering, be mindful of a lack of hot water and that there are refurbishments underway at the moment, so it is noisy. The area more broadly is prone to power outages, and whilst the hotel has a generator it doesn't seem to power everything (avoid the lift!)

Horrible Service . Rowdy behaviour of Staff. Poor condition of rooms whereas Room Rent is high. Do not get allured by seeing the banner . Staff at the reception are very rude and rough. Bitter experience
