Perfect place to break your trip. The room was nice and neat. Reception was very welcoming. Thank you!

Stay away from unit 8, the aircon did not work, was given a fan which offered little relief. The manager was shocked to find out that the aircon did not work. She shower sprayed all over the place. Never again

Acceptable for Overnight Stay PRO: Pre-heated room awaited us in cold winter night. Clean and functional, but not pretty. CON: TV remote had flat batteries, dstv decoder installed hidden with no direct remote control reach. Restaurant advertised does not exist anymore. No loadshedding backup. No milk for coffee.

The most unfortunate place I have ever chosen to stay over at. Reasons: 1. There were no teabags in the selection of drinks 2. There were no milkpods or powdered milk available. I had to go out and buy some 3. The toilet seat was broken and we ended up sitting on the porcelain rim 4. The heavy steel gate at the entrance was broken and I had to open/close it manually everytime we went out. Upon returning from dinner in the evening there was an incredible storm and I got totally soaked opening/closing same. 5. The bed was so poor that when you sat on the edge you slid straight off 6. The day we left there was not a drop of water available to shower of flust the toilet. 7. The receptionist was standing in for a friend and was only interested in getting her lift back home This was really the worst place in Colesberg I chose to stay at. I expect an answer from the owners and monetary compensation would also not be amiss

Reception was friendly, underroof Parking convenient with a locked Boom after hours. Bedding and bed was in good order, together with the Towels. Unpleasant, the dirty swimming pool, smelly water in the water bottle supplied in the Fridge. Limited TV Channels, no Wifi, Bathroom, no toilet roll holder, no place to hang towels, or hand towel, shower could use an upgrade on the tiles with many holes drilled many years ago. Shower Floor could use a proper scrub, no curtains in bathroom. Curtains in bedroom, looks new, but way too short thus leaving a gap to peep thru underneath. All over, maybe some maintenance due.

It was advertised as a guest house and restaurant. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed! I have a feeling it’s not been operational for a while. The play area is a tetanus risk and the pool was probably last cleaned towards the end of 2019. Not too long after the fridge was cleaned! We had a stop over as part of our CT to JHB trip and were given a takeaway menu as an I don’t care the restaurant is closed. Unfortunately the bistro Allards in town also couldn’t care less so we were stranded in an advertisement lie! I have a feeling the really good reviews were circa 2000. There are undoubtedly better options.
