Location was a little hard to get to since there is no warning about the drive way. Get in and the parking lot is tiny and couldn't find a place to park for check in or check out. Room was WAY smaller than we thought and pictures shown! Was actually blown away by how small the room was! The bathroom was dirty, dead bugs on the floor around the tub and dirt everywhere. The bed was horrible! No box spring or support other than a metal frame that made sonic noise it kept us up most the night! The bedding was thin and we froze most the night, even if we turned the AC off we died from the heat! The sheets were nasty, covered in diet and hair! I don't know if it was from the housekeeping or just never got switched! Tv was ok but barely worked so watching anything was basically a joke and the water pressure was horrible! Speak of the bathroom, forgot to mention that black mildew on the walls and the rust and white crust formed on the shower, it made us panic! The room also had various bugs and spiders in the room and it made us super uneasy! Were were celebrating our anniversary and it was the worst experience! We didn't even bother with the breakfast because the juice machine was out and the fruit and cereal looked questionable. Overall I'd give this place a 1 star only because the service at check in was really nice.

Cheap but! Never again. Room 112 was filthy. Dirty floor, sticky counters, inoperative refrigerator, bed frame broken, headboard had greasy hand prints from who knows what activity. Loud crowd out on walkway loudly drinking beer and hollering late into the evening.

Excellent value. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Dining options nearby. Ideal place to make a "base" to explore the area attractions, of which there are many. I will definitely stay here again. Tha nks

This place is STILL under construction!-even if they ‘lie’ to you & tell you the room(s) were recently renovated! For 4 hours now have listened to construction noise & vibrating walls on either side of our room walls!!! When we called the front desk, 3 times from 6-8pm here was the result: 1. 6pm (after our walls vibrating for an hour & not being able to hear our own conversation): “they will be done in an hour”. 2. 8pm: “quiet hours are 10pm”-& she hung up on me! 3. 8:05 pm: “if u want to leave you can have a refund”, & she hung up on us again! ….so-after driving for 10 hours, & NOT being told at all that we are in a room with construction hammering our walls from 4-10pm, we are essentially stuck here for the nite. PS: our room simply has a mattress pushed up against an unpainted wall, for the price of $93.19!

Pro's - Good upgrades in our room with the new selective flush water saving toilets, flat screen TV and furniture. Cons - many. Will list what fits: Not dog friendly but allow pets in the room. In our case, they will not clean while animals are on the property. You have to take them and leave. Cleaning is haphazard even when you leave with the animals. We were told the older couple that clean are afraid of the animals though I witnessed one snapping towels at and antagonizing an older Chihuahua until it started barking. If you complain about the cleaning, the owner is said to instruct the staff to do nothing for them after a complaint is made. Initially they would give us linens to change our beds every three days but after doing this twice (2beds) they announced that they would no longer do this after 11am when they start the final wash load of the day. We were in town for a few weeks and I made the mistake of paying for the stay in advance. Rule changes seemed random and based on the mood of whomever is at the front desk. When we asked for the remainder of our money back and we would move to another hotel we were told that the owner would not refund our money because "we paid so much". Early in our stay, there were electrical issues in the room with one outlet going out and the fridge and microwave failing. When I move the cord to check the plug it began sparking. We called the front desk who told us to press the reset button on an outlet at a different wall next to the sink. Knowing well that the reset button on an outlet only resets the outlet, we played along and looked for the button but there was none. They said that the electrician would arrive after 9pm. At around 11pm the room power started going off and on and I assumed the electrician was onsite and was flipping the power to the room off and on at the breaker box. A few minutes later, a gentleman came in and walked to the wall near the sink and looked around. He then instructed a staff member to have the outlet replaced and left. The following day we called the front desk and asked what the plan was for getting a working fridge in the room and they hmmm'd and hawed. My daughter lost her cool and said that in any other hotel we would have been moved to a new room by then. They called 30 minutes later and offered to move us to the room next door, which we accepted. We have been in this room over a week and there have been no electrical issues. They cleaned the first room and put guests in the next day without replacing the outlet or having a professional in to check the room safety. We

This should be a zero star. On 08/29/22 my parents, my daughter, and I needed a place to stay for one night on our way to Nashville, TN. Having traveled all day, we checked in at 7:40pm, played with my 1-year-old daughter outside for some time, then began unpacking our car. We had a significant amount of luggage because we traveled from the East Coast. However, while unpacking we noticed the room is extremely small, there was extensive floor damage, the bathtub did not have a stopper so we could not bathe my child, there was used toothpaste all over the shower curtain and bathroom wall, the walls of the main room were covered in unknown substances, it was bug infested, and my parents had a cockroach in their room. Knowing the dangers of a cockroach infestation, we immediately began packing our things back into the car and returned our room keys to the front desk at 8:20pm. We confirmed our check-in time with the desk clerk, she specifically confirmed to both me and my father that we were there for a total of 40 minutes. Ten of those minutes were spent in the actual room. We let her know that we could not stay in a dirty, pest filled room with a toddler, especially one located next to an abandoned building with people coming in and out of the woods next door. It was not only filthy, it was dangerous. I took photos of the rooms and we filed two requests with Agoda (the booking company) to waive the room charges, as we did not stay there. While mine is pending and being escalated, my parent's was denied because the hotel is BLATANTLY lying, telling the booking company that we were there for two hours. This could not possibly be an error, this is a LIE. This morning I outreached to the property to get our official check-in time for 08/29 because that is in their system, and not something they can fabricate. I have an email with my request to waive the hotel fees timestamped that same day at 8:23pm, evidence that we were there for 40 minutes maximum. The hotel clerk told me I was a "smartass," and hung up on me. Each time I or my parents tried to call back to get the check-in time she hung up on us, before eventually threatening us, saying she'd call the police and telling us to "come back to Kingsport," which was an obvious physical threat. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised, the first clerk we dealt with is a liar. It makes sense that the second would be a psychopath. I have contacted Agoda and Choice Hotels (the chain supporting the Econo Lodge) and they are escalating in every way possible. I have no faith that our money will be returned because there is no shred of "customer service" to be found with any of these entities because the hotel is independently owned and operated by thieves, but I am leaving reviews to ensure nobody else endures the abuse we have. This hotel is not COVID safe, as it is clearly not cleaned. Word to the wise - DO NOT STAY HERE. Not only was the 40 minutes we were there a nightmare, but the aftermath trying to deal

We reserved two rooms for one night after driving 900+ miles that day. When we checked in, we were given two smoking rooms with ashtrays, batteries removed from the smoke detectors and smoke stained plastics everywhere in the room. When we asked for nonsmoking rooms, none were available. Not what you’d expect in this day. Needed to find an alternative nearby.
