Hyatt Place Bloomington Indiana

Tried to check in at 5 pm and the room wasn’t ready yet. Asked if an hour or two was enough time and they were unsure. Came back at 7 pm and the room was ready to check in. There was someone’s meal left in the refrigerator for only God knows how long. A strong smell came from the refrigerator when I opened it the first time.

Bathroom door is a sliding door with glass. Hard to fall asleep or stay asleep when others are using restroom. No way to lock the door for privacy either. Our first room didn’t have working AC. We were able to live to a different room on the same floor. The second room had a well worn Grinch stuffed animal on the pull out couch, which made us think that housekeeping isn’t cleaning the pullout couch. We took it to the front desk. They said housekeeping staff was hiding that in rooms as a game and shouldn’t have left it there. We didn’t get any housekeeping service during our two nights there. We called down to ask about it. They said the check in staff should’ve asked if we wanted it. They weren’t able to service the room but did get us clean towels. Breakfast was better than many hotel chains.

Great staff, both at the front desk as well as at the breakfast buffet. One of the better buffets I have had and I travel extensively for work (I would suggest morning away from powdered eggs, they just didn't match the level of the other offerings). The rooms were very clean and housekeeping always greeted us with a smile and cheerful hello. It's the little things that really matter. In addition the location was central to all Bloomington has to offer.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place Bloomington Indiana, The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive, our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, a large flat-screen TV, everything is clean, the room is quiet, the bed is comfort

My husband and I were passing through on vacation. We picked what we thought would be a Hotel that would be above average. Unfortunately we did not have a wonderful experience.

Great place conveniently located on kirkwood. Excellent staff, nice and spacious rooms. Plenty of parking spaces in the garage. Very good breakfast included for all. Overall one of the best places to stay in Bloomington.

Nice hotel and a very good location to the town and the university. The breakfast was very good, and the rooms were clean and contemporary.

Everything was great and clean. All the questions I had were answered by the staff with great details, professionalism and incredibly nice manner.
