The hotel enjoys an ideal location, at the foot of the Château de Blois, with an attractive price... but it's easy to understand why. Having not chosen a renovated room, I was expecting an old-fashioned style "in its original state," not a dilapidated room: broken toilet bowl, damaged bathroom door that jams, non-existent insulation allowing every noise from neighboring rooms to be heard. The housekeeping leaves something to be desired, with even dead insects in the light fixtures. The heat in the room is stifling, fortunately a fan is provided. On the plus side, the bedding is very comfortable and the staff is pleasant and smiling. It's a shame that they sell the image of an old hotel full of charm, only to end up in a room that's barely reasonable.
