Old Mill Motel

Very strong smell of moth balls in room. Reception tried to convince that i Should book directly with them would be cheaper but when he calculated it in front of me, it would be more. Then suddenly he recalculated and I would save $10. Obvious he was lying. Will never stay there again.

Unkempt and overpriced. Booked a lake view room and was facing the parking lot. You couldn’t see the lake at all. Good location close to downtown. Bathroom had a clearly used garbage bag that had just been emptied out. It was also a bag from another business. There was a ceiling tile that was falling out, and then duct taped back up, but still falling out. The towels looked questionable so didn’t use them. Fridge needed to be cleaned out. So much dust everywhere. It was also the worst sleep of my trip. People came back around 2:30am and had incredibly loud conversations until I gave up and decided to leave way earlier than planned. This was my last stay driving between BC and Toronto and I regret booking here.

One of the best motel i have ever found on hwy17,very well clean and maintain rooms,with all amenities', and right on lake huron, staff is very friendly, beds are so comfy, i would give them 5 star, they are located right on hwy 17 ,opposite to main st, restaurant and LCBO is walking distance, we loved their picnic area and BBQ right by the river...

Property is a convenient stop over half-way point however on a lower end of the scale as far as room updateness goes. Needs a face-lift and room color scheme changes. Old building. Nice that Tim's is close by and an awesome Pizza place for a meal.

The hotel insisted i had to upside my room because we have two service dogs. We stay w the service dogs all across North America and no one has ever asked this. I asked the manager to provide me the regulation three times with no response. I do not trust this establishment

I’ve stayed here in the past and even trusted this place enough to send family here during my wedding. Sadly, it’s no longer the motel it used to be. The bed in my room was both broken and rock-hard—I had to sleep with my head at the foot to avoid feeling like I was doing a headstand. The heating barely worked, and the bedding was so thin I could feel the freezing floor through two pairs of socks. The plumbing was a joke—water took forever to warm up, and the shower barely worked. Electrical outlets were either dead or too worn to hold a plug. And though I was in a non-smoking room, pot and cigarette smoke poured in from right outside my door every night. Noise was constant—either a party or slamming doors when you're trying to sleep for work. The only redeeming factor? The staff. They were kind and trying their best with what they've been given—but the owner has clearly let this place go. I later found a waterfront cabin for half the price, and it had working heat, plumbing, and peace. Save your money—go anywhere else.
