We were visiting family in the area & stayed for 2 nights. The Inn looks very attractive from the roadside with a good car park & outside seating areas for all weathers. Inside the Inn is full of character with a public bar & dining rooms. The welcome was friendly & breakfast arrangements were given. The stairways have low ceilings, so mind your head! The room was quite small & the double bed took up most of the space. The en-suite was adequate & everything was spotless. The food was excellent, both breakfast & evening. All staff friendly & nothing too much trouble. ** (Only issue, the paint on the bedroom walls could do with a refresh, looking a bit tired)

Haven't finished my stay yet - very impressed so far. The place is lovely, rooms comfy and clean, and breakfast spot on. The staff have been friendly and helpful and have gone the extra mile. We also had woodfired pizzas last night - really good.

We arrived and entered the building to eat a simple main course and dessert for lunch on a 1pm sitting, there were four of us one of whom is gluten and nut intolerant. The meals were good honest food, slightly weird on the roast potato in that they tasted like they had been spinkled lightly with garlic powder, and everything was served with a large yorkshire pudding even the Cranberry and Brie Wellington. The desserts were ok, although the crumble tasted very over sweet to one of us and that put them off finishing it and the price was reasonable in that for 4 mains and 4 desserts plus drinks it was a shade over £100. If we are in the area again then yes we would eat there again.

A lovely tucked away country pub with beautiful outdoor decor and covered seating area with patio heaters and a wood fired pizza oven. Small carpark but managed to park every time. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming. Explained everything when we arrived and Anna guided us to our room explaining about access to the accommodation through the night. Breakfast was ordered the evening before to enable the kitchen to be prepared which was a nice idea. A nice selection of cooked breakfast. The room was small but had everything you’d need maybe a slightly bigger tv though would be nice on that wall. Bed was comfy with a thick duvet and comfortable pillows. A few not so good bits, although there was 3 cereals maybe a few more selections of cereal would be nice as they were very bland selections. The apple juice was warm, maybe having jugs with ice blocks in them would help to keep it cooler. The room was soo hot even with the windows open. The breakfast although very good size portions I was a bit disappointed with the bacon and eggs which were rather over cooked both mornings.

Can't believe the prices. £5.00 for a pint of diet coke! We had a lunchtime ciabatta each and a pint of diet cke and it was £31 ! It used to be a very good pub but those prices are ridiculous and we won't be going back.

I love Thai green curry so ordered the Thai green curry here was absolutely disgusting. The chicken was rubbery and the sauce was like a watery like chip curry sauce. I was So disappointed, service was great but I'm afraid It doesn't make up for the bad food. I'm afraid I won't be visiting here again.

Great people and a perfect room. Good location for visiting many places in Dorset. The inn is an old thatched building with a decent beer garden and covered outdoor eating. The food is very good pub fayre and there are interesting specials. On Friday and Saturday delicious pizzas are also served, cooked in the outdoor wood fired pizza oven Breakfast is included with the room and there are a good variety of choices with quality ingredients. A great find that we will revisit if ever on holiday in the area again.

The room was slightly on the small side , the bed being a standard double it would have been difficult to have put a bigger bed in. The bathroom again was a bit cramped, the loo holder was broken and the doors were out of line and provided no privacy. There appeared to be no soundproofing as it was quite evident that the adjacent rooms occupants could be clearly heard. The Monday morning breakfast was cooked badly, however the staff were very pleasant and helpful
