The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Blairmore, Alberta is the worst and most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. You will get a better sleep if you sleep in your car. When I reserved the room, the women who took my reservation lied to me. She told me that they had a nice "family room." Unbeknown to us, the Family Room was directly above the bar. Once midnight hit, they cranked up the rock music FULL-BLAST! At 2:30 A.M. I went down to the bar and said, either give me my money back and we will go somewhere else, or shut down the music. The women who ran both the hotel and the bar refused to refund my money. At 2:35 a.m. there was only 4 people in the bar, yet, she would not turn off the screaming music. I told the women who managed the bar that I was going to call the RCMP. Only then did she shut off the music. This room also cost $248.00

The Cosmo is small older hotel on the main road through Blairmore, AB. It may seem a little unorthodox to have to go into the bar and have the bartender register you for your room but it works. The rooms were recently remodeled, with fresh paint, hardwood floors and new televisions, microwaves and refrigerators. The rooms were clean and the beds were good. It may be a bit overprices for what it is ($160 we got a deal online for $103) but its not bad if you need a decent place to sleep for the night.

It was cheap, no hot water. It was very old fashioned if you like architecture. Nicely decorated. Sturdy old time furniture. We could hear the music from the bar in our room but it wasn't too loud. The people were nice. There was an issue with the window and they helped us quickly and got it fixed. Great deals in the bar for happy hour if you like that sort of thing. And, had slot machines too. Good enough for us for one night.

We had the worst experience at this hotel. We booked the family room for a weekend for a friends wedding. When we got there it wasn't bad! It smelled fresh and the presentation was decent for an old hotel (I love historic places). However, THE ROOM WAS NOT AS ADVERTISED. We're hanging in our room and all of a sudden we here a big thump come from the ceiling of the bathroom (there are ceiling tiles). My husband listened and could hear mice. We immediately went down to the front desk to asked to have this taken care of. We had a dinner to attend too so we left hoping it would get fixed when we were gone as they said. It wasn't even looked at. They had NOTHING and NOBODY to fix this issue. My kids wouldn't use the washroom so we had to switch hotels entirely that same night. We didn't spend one single night at this hotel. It was a HUGE inconvenience for us. It was more money forked out. It was stressful. AND to top this all off, the owner won't give me back the other half of my money even though we didn't stay. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL AND MANAGEMENT. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Very poor service, would not recommend! Too high price for what you get, not very clean, old soap and not many towels. Have to check in at the bar so if any problems or questions then have to deal with at bar hours. Hotel on Main Street which was nice for shopping and eating that’s about the only good thing

Worst service I have ever had. Room was not as advertised, amount and sizes of beds incorrect. Filthy and tons of things broken, mold in bathroom etc. Family room is right over the bar and the crazy loud music rocks the beds all night. Staff are basically unavailable at any time of day unless you get bar staff to go find them out smoking. Asked that a manager call me back and they never did. Can not get them to answer their phones or return my calls now. Would not recommend.

The hottie old, but under new management and it cleaned up really well. This is not a luxury hotel, but it’s clean the bed was good, linen was clean. The restaurant and bar are what you would expect in a small town. But again it looks good, it’s clean and the staff is friendly.

The room was clean and spacious enough for a budget hotel room. We were at the far end of the hall so we heard nothing from the bar. Common fridge, microwave and coffee pot right outside of our door. However, the wifi did not work at that end of the hall. The address did not show up on any of our gps units so just get onto main street and drive until you see it on the north side of the road. The building across the street was getting it's roof resealed and the crew started at 6:30 am. I know this is not the usual but very annoying for us on our stay.
