We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Angus Hotel. Our room was bright, very clean and comfortable. The shower was very good and all our meals were very nice and tasty. There was a good variety at both dinner and breakfast. The front outdoor area was in a great location to sit in the afternoon and early evening sun with a pleasant drink. All prices were very reasonable and our package meant that we had an excellent deal. The pool area was an added bonus, we enjoyed the sauna and steam room too. Unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn't working properly and was difficult to get in and out of, due to the high step. The bar and restaurant were well laid out and everything looked cared for. The dull outside appearance of the hotel does not really justify the interior, which was lovely. All staff very pleasant and I would highly recommend a short stay here as it is excellent value. Thanks everyone for making us welcome in this lovely part of the country.

Afternoon tea, Dinner overnight stay. Check in flawless. Afternoon tea was good. Spa was excellant apart from getting in/out of jacuzzi. Dinner was good apart from tables to cramped together. Really good sleep. Up for swim/sauna before a lovely buffet breakfast. Overall really good stay will be back. 100% value for money

We attended one of the tribute acts shows. The show itself was good. However 1. issue with the seating plan - had to wait for 30 mins to setup a table to accommodate the party. 2. Food - Starters - soup was only just warm, as was the salmon tart, cucumber salad was so small. Mains - Chicken was tough and difficult to cut and chew. Lamb was again only just warm and minced - why? desserts were good. Rooms were nice, clean and well aired. Staff very friendly and tried to help Breakfast - again food was only warm, had to wait for fried eggs, no haggis, milk dispensers were empty. We didn't eat in the restaurant on this visit as it was only for one night. My inlaws did visit last month and had a terrible experience - afternoon tea - the scones were still frozen in the centre. evening meal Mac n cheese was a bowl of pasta with cheese melted over it This used to be a better class of dining but seems to have slipped a fair bit recently.

We were there for tribute night .Friday night in the restaurant we had a beautiful meal but on going for breakfast on the Saturday it was like going into a school dinner hall with long tables.only 1 toaster so had a big queue and ran out of breakfast items. Tribute on Saturday night squashed into your seat and if you wanted out you had to ask theperson next to you to stand up to let you out.waited ages on our dinner and was atrocious given back . Better with round tables as you could hardly see the act. I have to say the acts that were on both nights were very good. Too many people in the hall on saturday.tje room we had was 113 and it was lovely as were the staff but I think until they get the tables sorted it will be a long time till we are back

Do not go here. I have stayed in many places in the UK n in Europe in general - this is the worst ever. We decided to leave and go somewhere else. Overall state of the hotel is worn down at best. Member of staff in reception not nice, serviceminded or understanding in any way. Went to an excellent place not far outside Blairgowrie. Paid 20 pounds more. Extremely overpriced also in other words.

This hotel could do with a refit. It's dated and dark. The stairs are steep and handrails sticky leading to the bedrooms and the lift is out of service. The handrail into the pool was loose and someone with even slight mobility problems would struggle getting in and out the jacuzzi. Eating in the restaurant we were informed their "supplier had let them down" which meant no chicken dishes or burgers which left a very limited choice. After our main course our plates were left for ages before being offered a dessert. We were never asked during our meal if the food was alright -sorry it was mediocre. Breakfast was however fairly good. Sorry won't be back.

We (family of four) and our three dogs (including two puppies!) had a lovely bar lunch and drinks at the Angus. The staff were super friendly and efficient. Food was quick and tasted lovely with a good variety of choices including n the menu. Very welcoming and understanding towards the dogs too.

Really good 3* hotel, exceeded our expectations. Clean modern rooms, right in the town centre. The restaurant food was lovely as was buffet breakfast. The spa was a great addition, small simple and modern, however they could do with a bit of maintenance and a deeper clean of the spa to make sure the facilities don’t decline as it’s a real asset for the hotel. Good value for the money paid for a D,B&B rate with afternoon tea. Would look to come back for one of the entertainment nights I think!
