Gary and Nigel,s place is truly exceptional. The incredible attention to detail and careful design made staying here an absolute treat. The bed was super comfortable, and the monogrammed towels were large and soft. The shower was truly walk in and the heating made the room toasty. Downstairs, the two lounge rooms were elegantly designed and very comfortable. There was a large drinks menu to choose from. We were extremely fortunate to be there on Friday when dinner is served. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, with food of the absolute highest quality. I haven’t eaten like that many times in my life. We had all three courses!! Breakfast in the morning was the same quality. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

We had a brilliant stay here. The rooms were spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. There were so many thoughtful touches, like the monogrammed towels, that really made the experience feel truly five-star. Gary was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was probably the best we’ve had in years — a fantastic selection, all freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. An exceptional stay in every way. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer! We would highly recommend it.

Lovely, well appointed room with a comfortable bed. It was very clean and I liked the decor and furnishings. Breakfast was superb with so much to choose from (almost too many choices!). The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others. A couple of suggestions for the future - it was a hot night (unusual for Scotland!) so a fan in the room would have been appreciated. An accessible USB port or power socket near the bed would be good and a mug for tea/coffee rather than (or as well as) a small cup. None of these things detracted from a wonderful stay though.

Ivybank Lodge is an absolute gem. The house is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and run by two exceptionally charming hosts. From the very warm welcome to the spacious and comfortable room, every detail made us feel at home. We also greatly appreciated the cosy reading room, which provided the perfect place to relax after a day’s walking. Dinner was excellent and served in a wonderfully relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for such a memorable experience.

The Lodge lived up to its 5-star reviews during our stay. Our host was most welcoming and friendly. The room was nicely furnished, clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast menu was extensive, and the presentation of the food would not have been out of place in many a 5-star hotel we have stayed in.

Oh, wow. Just returned from staying at this wonderful place. From the warm welcome, to the beautiful and immaculate grounds and decor, the first class food, crafted by the ridiculously talented Nigel and proudly and warmly served by Gary, I cannot fault this place. We feel so lucky to have found it and can’t wait to return later in the year. Both Gary and Nigel are amazing hosts who make you feel at home and took the time to suggest places of interest, which we explored, as well as see us off on our last day! What a credit you both are. What an absolutely beautiful inn!! 10/10! Decor, food, and all facilities perfection! Nigel and Greg are wonderful hosts… very warm and welcoming but leave you to enjoy your stay and are always a ‘bell ring’ away! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
