Plas Weunydd Hotel

We booked last minute and paid £85. We got upgraded to a superior room. The room was clean, modern and warm. TV with Netflix was a welcome bonus. Shower was powerful and the bathroom spacious. Tea / coffee in the room. Staff very polite and offered to do us a pack up breakfast for our early hike. Good offer of wine / beer and food. No complaints, would recommend and return, especially for the price. 30 minutes from Snowden by car.

Just spent the most relaxing and memorable two days in Plas Weunydd with my wife and boy..the setting around the hotel is beautiful and calm..the rooms are lovely and cosy and the bath / shower are spot after a hike or walk…the restaurant was excellent..had plenty of options for the Family…would recommend the cheese starter , curry, gyros , and the zucchini soup was something i haven’t had before , but if we stayed for a few more days we would have tried everything as all looked soo nice ..but , what will remain our fondest memory, will be the hotel staff …they could not do enough for us to make us feel soo welcome from the start to finish.. xx….

A great location overlooking the slate 'mountains'. They seem to be installing electric car chargers. Surprisingly pricey for what it is. Has outside leisure seating, some under cover. The bar and dining areas have a very Youth Hostel feel about them and no real bar seating area. A children's play area is provided and it was rather noisy. Very pleasing to see the use of Cymraeg on the menu and perhaps the staff could at least welcome you in the native language. The menu is very Youth Hostel, as was the standard of cooking, cold plates, processed and defrosted, etc. Very little choice and perhaps best avoided altogether given the prices. Breakfast was much better and of better quailty. The room was very good, apart from the view of the back yard. We had two small security safes, both not secured and easy to walk off with. The coat hanger rail needs a step ladder to reach it :-) An app via a QR code gives you accomodation info. Friendly staff and a very efficient welsh speaking manager. A nice log fire.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay. We had booked the Autumn special which included dinner, bed and breakfast and we couldn’t have been happier with our food and stay. The room was warm, clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and we were grateful on our second night to be able to take our cheeseboard back to our room as we were so tired after climbing Snowdon that day. I would definitely return to the hotel and would also recommend to others. Thank you!

Stayed at the shepherds huts but visited the hotel for an evening meal. We had spoken to reception earlier in the day to book an extra experience while we were there and when we arrived for dinner they remembered us and were so welcoming. The menu was great - we could happily have chosen anything and the portions were generous and very good value. We had the pie and the chicken gyros, both of which were yummy. The service was attentive and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Hope to be able to come back soon and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Went for the Carvery on a Sunday lunchtime and I must admit it was a wonderful experience. The decor is stunning, the coffee delicious and the Carvery outstanding. The meat was cooked to perfection (as were the vegetables). Generous portions too. The staff were lovely. We will be going again soon.;
