Good location, very good breakfast. And lovely staff. The only down side and fault I have with the hotel, is the parking. I payed for a reserved space as I need 24 access to my car. But the spaces are absolutely far too tight !!! Once you park up, it’s a struggle to get the door open wide enough to get out! I can only imagine what it’s like for a person of a bigger build !! This would be easy fixed if the hotel would take 2 spaces away and make the remaining bays bigger !!! Please look into doing this!!!! Apart from that. I will be be back.

Just spent 3 nights here, never again, dirty room, lino in bathroom stank of urine, nothing like the oics on the website, carpet throughout hotel was dirty an worn. The breakfast was mostly cold, coffee machine was cold. A family member came for the night to join us, couldnt check in till 4!! Found the room dirty so complained at reception, returned to room at 8 an was still found in same state so decided not to stay!! Cant check in till 4 and have to checkout at 10!! Defo not value for money.

We were booked in to stay for two nights as a family (2 adults 2 kids) in a family room. We arrived and staff were very friendly . We managed to get parked in hotel free car park, despite it being very busy during our stay. However, this is where the positives stop. The room itself was extremely dated. Think 1980’s - early 90’s decor. Our view, as we were on the side, the view was of a brick wall and windows of other rooms. There was no air conditioning, no fans provided and the window would only open 2 inches. Even with the window open, as we were in a sheltered enclosed space, no air was flowing whatsoever. Being summer, it was absolutely sweltering in our room. To compound matters the corridors stunk of cigarette smoke and this wafted into our room. Despite no Snooki signs and notices everywhere, clearly people are smoking in their rooms. We had the worst nights sleep you can imagine due to the stuffy room. The hotel is old so even the slightest noise you can hear. The walls are. Paper thin and I could hear the occupants next door snoring so loudly all night long. We decided that we weren’t going to have another night of this so checked out a day early. The receptionist asked why, we told him about the stuffy room and he immediately put his head down, avoiding eye contact and simply said, “sorry about that”. No offer of trying to make things better, no offer of a partial refund and no real acceptance of responsibility whatsoever. The hotel must realise that this is a problem but rather than make changes or simply not use roasting hot rooms during summer, they continue to sell them to unsuspecting families. Four bodies in one room with no air con, a fan or ventilation. As mentioned, staff were really nice, especially the catering staff and bar staff. I think they understand the issue but their hands are tied to a certain degree. Management really need to address this issues urgently and invest in upgrading the rooms. Customer service needs to be improved for when customers bring issues to reception as you will not receive a refund whatsoever. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

This was our first visit to this hotel recommended by a family member. I have to say what a fantastic place from the start of our holiday to the finish of our holiday. The Entertainment was the best I have ever seen can't complain about a thing there was so much on at the hotel to keep guests entertained (3 artists on in the one night, the DJ was like a comedian with plenty of jokes for the guests to keep you entertained and the organist player was amazing, the bingo was brilliant priced at £3 to play). The Entrrtainment only finished at 1am. Staff were fabulous including the receptionist staff :.) Breakfast was very nice Bar meals looked amazing especially the burgers and the pizzas. Will try these the next time we stay at the hotel again. Room 50 was a little on the small size with the toilet and bathroom door at the side of the double bed which was a pain during the night. If they changed the layout around in the bathroom the door could be changed to open near the door were you come into the room. It was nice and clean the room and nicely presented towels on the beds upon arrival in the room. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay at your hotel we will definately be back :.) I have attached a photo of me and the tribute act (Gary Barlow)
