The Carlton has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are amazing, very helpful and eager to please.
The room was comfortable but the TV was faulty.
There was no kettle in the room which was easily remedied.
There was no mat for inside the shower which made the shower very slippy especially for the elderly who are unstable.
Breakfast was good, the staff made sure we well spoilt.
We were very annoyed at the £5 parking fee which included Blue Badge holders. We very rarely pay to park.
Our son who visited did not have to pay for parking which is ludicrous. We have already payed to stay there!!
The bar prices were very over the top, £6.35 for a bottle of beer. This does not encourage us to spend money there.
We are ordinary pensioners. That’s far too much!!
It’s greedy.

The hotel's breakfast buffet is average, not many choices and the food is not refilled. In addition, the room was not cleaned well because there was garbage left by previous guests.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Carlton.The staff was so friendly and couldn’t do enough.The breakfast was excellent.Comfy beds.Will be staying here again.Oh and the hot chocolate was delicious.

Great location on seafront, easy parking £5 until midday next day. Good buffet breakfast with vegetarian options in a dining room with sea view. Rooms are noisy, very thin walls and you can hear every word of people walking past in the corridor so take earplugs. Would stay again though, the staff are all very good and the place is nice and clean.

Hotel was fine as a base for a couple of nights. 140 for 2 midweek nights Inc breakfast and parking. Room was on top floor which meant sloping ceiling in around 1/3 of the room. Fine as my daughter took that side but would have been challenging if 2 full grown adults were there. Limited ventilation in the bathroom also so some mould spores coming through (room otherwise generally clean if dated). Breakfast fine if a little basic and had a tendancy to run out of things, first morning would blame this on the parents who let their kid take all the hash browns, however the second day the breakfast room was heaving, was down well before breakfast closing but found myself waiting on and chasing several breakfast utems at various times.
