On my seven-day trip through England this mid-May, staying at Chimneys Guest House was one of the highlights. It was easy to find. I parked on the main road, went in to inquire, the owner, Suhel, was waiting for me. He welcomed me, we sat down in the "mud room" and told me I would need to remove my shoes. I welcomed that because I don't wear my shoes in my house either. Anyway, there was parking in the back; I asked Suhel about a place to eat and a laundromat. He advised with two suggestions, both within walking distance. The room was fine. It's an old home, so the floors creeked a bit. There was a sink in the room, but shower was in a separate room--not shared. I had to text Suhel twice that evening, and he replied immediately. The breakfast was very good. A very quiet place and a wonderful host!

Chimneys Guest House is a haven of beauty and sophistication. From the moment you're greeted by Suhel to the second you step back out into Blackburn you'll be well looked after. I can't imagine a better view of Blackburn. If Blackburn tickles your fancy then this is definitely the place to stay.

We were in Blackburn for a friends birthday party and had booked to stay in another hotel which when we arrived was totally unsuitable. Luckily we were able to book in at Chimneys guest house at very short notice and what a pleasure it was to arrive to a very friendly welcome. The room we were allocated was a master bedroom and was wonderfully furnished with a large and very comfortable bed and an large en-suite. All areas of the guest house were immaculately clean and love the the no shoes request. Suhel, was the perfect host and made us feel extremely welcome both at checking in and next morning at breakfast which was a perfect start to the day we had the full English but would like to try the Indian at some point in the future. So would highly recommend this guest house for those who enjoy a wonderful home from home stay and will hopefully be staying again when once again visiting Blackburn

I had been walking the Leeds Liverpool Canal towpath and Blackburn is where my walk ended. After a week of mainly hotels with horrible breakfasts it was a pleasure to come to a real B&B where you get a good proper Welcome. I arrived at Midday and luckily Suhel was still at home before going to the gym. A great welcome from him before he left for his workout. Later he recommended and indian restaurant 15 mins walk up the road which turned out to be excellent. My room was a bit small, it had a double bed but was probably only suitable for a single person. This had been booked by my walk company. The shower and toilet were seperate though there is a hand basin in the room. Other rooms are ensuite aparently. Great Victorian features in the room including the basin with brass taps and a great view across the city. I had the delicious indian breakfast which is a spicy vegetable omelete. I am dairy and gluten intolerant so Suhel had bought in soya milk and gluten free bread. I really had a great time staying here. Would recommend for a great welcome. Not sure about the canal though.

Stayed at Chimneys for 3 nights over the Christmas period. Exceptional service and hospitality during our entire trip. Beautifully decorated Victorian styled guesthouse with very spacious rooms. Very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas (ie Lake District, Blackpool, Pendle Hill, etc). Would definitely recommend to others!

This Victorian styled guesthouse is located in a nice part of Blackburn. The lovely hosts make sure you feel at home from the second you walk in the door. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, a magnificent view and a variety of breakfast options adds up to a very enjoyable stay. We'll definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at this family friendly Chimneys B&B during the Christmas holidays. We travelled with our fussy 15 month baby and 2.5 year old child. All I can say is that the couple who run the B&B (Suhel & Amina) have got it right, minimum fuss with great attention to detail. They really went above and beyond for my little ones which meant a lot. Everything is in the room or close by for the week needed and definitely home away from home. Breakfast is a must at Chimneys (Indian breakfast) - sets you up for the day! I cannot find fault with this B&B, they have free parking on site, and excellent Wi-Fi connection. Overall satisfaction is Excellent.

We had a brilliant 3 nights stay at Chimneys. What a great wonderful place! Fantastic breakfast. I enjoyed their American, Indian and French breakfast options. Once again, thank you for your hospitality. I would strongly recommend this guest house.

I visited Blackburn for work purposes. Prior to my visit I had enquired about parking my car early as I wanted to walk in to town. No problem-he saved me a car space. He called me earlier in the day to confirm he had saved me a space. On arrival I was made very welcome- - I am vegan-Suhel had bought in some soya milk so could have tea in my room. It had been a bitterly cold day and I had been outside for most of it so that was very welcome indeed! He had left a heater in the room and extra blankets! At breakfast he could not have done enough. He is doing so much to make his business as eco-friendly as possible which impressed me. He let me stay in the room an hour longer than normal checkout and then let me spend time in his lovely dining room with some lovely views until I needed to go to work which. was not until 1pm. Again, even though I had checked out he let me leave my car there so I could walk to where I was working-and not pick it up until 9pm that night. So kind. I would definitely stay again.
