After being denied a site at another park in Stawell we back-tracked to one we had passed earlier in the day. The owner was friendly and most obliging. He allowed us to choose our site. This park was not the flashiest place, as the park has very sandy soil, so did not have lush grass. The amenities are not new, but were extra clean - there was even a vase of fresh flowers on the vanity bench. A lovely touch. We had intended to spend just one night in Stawell, but because of the way were were greeted and treated we stayed an extra night. Don't even try the other park unless you have booked on line. Just go straight to this park.

We booked this stay and did read all reviews. The park was very run down, and amenity block was filthy. The toilet block had not been cleaned and there were spider webs behind the toilet doors. The male toilets were filty and the sign in the block from management was very poor re cleaning toilet following use. The dump point was almost nonexistent with no water to flush. The sites were very uneven and hard to level van on them. The office was unmanned, and we had to call to confirm booking three times to get an answer. We booked online with our booking time on it.
