Quality Inn Black Mountain-Asheville East

this place was decent a while back but now is very dirty.grass growing in the pool deck and flower pots,when the man cleaning the pool used the skimmer he just plopped the dirt on the deck at the pool.there where no plates for the small breakfast.we believe some homeless guy and a girl came and jumped in the pool when no one was looking,ice machine not working,fridge not working in friends room lights out every where we won't be staying here again.

We did a lot of reviews and ratings for hotels in this area for an overnight stay. The photos online are not accurate at all. When we arrived you could tell that the hotel was in need of updates and just a good cleaning. We checked into our room and you could tell that it was just a surface clean. The flooring in our bathroom and by the jacuzzi tub had some kind of oily film on it which made it very slippery. The shower stall was very tiny and difficult for my husband at 6'5 to take a shower. There were cobwebs, and just not a clean feeling or smell about the room. We were traveling with another couple who when they entered their room the overwhelming smoke caused one of them to have an asthma attack. They noticed that the smoke detector had been covered with plastic! How does housekeeping Miss this? They went to the front desk and were given another room but no monetary deduction from their rate. The property of the hotel is well lit but has no fence, next door there is a Wendy's and there was some things going on in the parking lot that made it a little bit unsafe feeling. There is a path that runs from the hotel property to the street behind it that was frequented by people hanging out in the Wendy's parking lot. We did not know that the pool was closed which was fine because the weather was not great, but there was no where to sit and visit other than inside your room. The breakfast was adequate but nothing to speak about and the person at the desk never greeted us said anything when we commented about things running out I had to go find him. The positive is the bed was comfortable and the washer and dryer worked well. I am not sure if I would recommend this hotel to anyone for the services provided the rate was high.

We had a room that faced the street. It was rather noisy. There were NO towel racks in the room. That was very inconvenient and an amazing oversight.

Quality Inn - Black Mountain Pretty good. A bit of a funky smell in the room. Air con quite loud. Serviceable for a night at the price-point. Breakfast was included and decent. Good location.
