The hotel was in a very shady part of this town. There were people in the parking lot and outside their rooms drinking and smoking and being relatively loud. Felt more like a frat house than a hotel. Everything was sketchy and dirty but the check in person was nice.

I checked in late. By the time I had a chance to look at the room. I found shower faucet missing, blowdryer not work, TV had zero channel (no signals). All pillow cases had stain on them, I used a towel to cover for sleeping. Someone’s floss was by the tub. Spider web at window & some ants. Pool water was green. Ice room & laundry room were disgusting. I took off the minute I got up next morning. No point to speak to the front desk. Overcharged for that kind of conditions. Never go back. Once is enough:-( Wish I get my money back & waste my time to stay there. Ended up Bad sleep

My husband and I canceled our reservation just as soon as we had arrived. The booking site allowed us to cancel "the whole thing" up until an hour before check-in time; our reason to cancel is the property all around is dilapidated. Mold growing straight out of the stucco, outside. The swimming pool is the biggest eye sore, it's empty and in such disrepair it will probably just never will again be remade and usable. Instead, it is just left to be forever covered by what looks like remnant pieces of rotted plastic. This whole entire property just needs to be completely removed and pushed into a landfill. It's a very sad, and depleted place.

I stayed (solo) the night on February 7th and 8th, 2025. I have always been the kinda guy who can stay anywhere as long as it is acceptably clean. By that I mean bugs and the room gets some level of cleaning. Unfortunately, even this great rate, wasn't worth it. When I checked in the hotel receptionist was dressed in clothing that didn't appear to have been changed for some time. She had food and beverage stains on her clothing that appeared to have been established some time ago and all over her top. I fully understand that a receptionist at a low budget hotel may not afford, or want to afford, the latest fashion, but I would expect anybody working with the public to at least have on clean attire - regardless. When I checked in there were no bath towels in my room and I showered and dried off with a hand towel. Not the end of the world. However, the next day when I came back to the hotel, at about 4:00 PM I notified the receptionist (wearing the same stained top), that I did not receive any bath towels and could I get one for my shower that evening. She asked why I was telling her so late in the day and I responded that I had left very early that morning and had just returned. She said she would see what she could do. I never received a bath towel and I showered and dried with the same hand towel from the day before. Again, not the end of the world. But enough for me to cancel my March, 2025 reservation as this one just isn't worth it to me. If you are trying to upset a spouse or other significant other, I would stay here. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.

Picked up an elderly friend who stayed there. It was just plain dirty. Look at how old any of the reviews are. Pool was a green scum pond for mosquitoes. The front desk say they are unable to put calls through to the rooms but will deliver a message...a lie.

MOTEL FROM HELL - Please read: I took a trip out to Bishop this past weekend and decided to stay at the Bishop Inn Motel. I have never reached out to do any review regarding sanitation, business codes of conduct, ect. So, I ask that you please read this message with the seriousness it deserves. I attempted to stay at the Bishop Inn hotel on Saturday, 8/17. The room was filled with holes, dents, and markings all over the walls. Every corner and hole within the room was infested with spiders, ants, ect. All of the towels and sheets were covered in stains, feces, and hair. I'm not a professional on mold, but the strange colors in the walls and bathroom decor were likely mold. The final straw was turning out the lights while on the bed. Upon turning on the light two minutes later, I noticed spiders were coming up the bed and rushing across the covers towards me; their feeding hour. I cannot make this crap up. I had to bend over backwards just to get the owner to cancel my reservation, but that's a different story. I'm sending this tip because I want families and individuals to have a safe and wonderful time in Bishop. I would have rather slept on the floor outside than in this room- that's how bad this is. Save yourself.

Picked this place as the price was right. NOW I KNOW WHY! The location was on a small side street that was in a residential neighborhood/industrial area. Looks like I was going in a large sardine can. Parking spots very tight,(if you have a SUV it's close), Needs new paint and is very run down. At first when I check in the desk was very polite. In the room I was sent to the Toilet bowl had a black hair and brown spot in side of bowl. There was a phone in room and I wanted to call desk, but no cord, so I had to walk back to office. They Switched rooms. 2nd room, had a stale smell and had black on base of wall in bathroom, not sure if it was mold. A/C was not cooling room, if it was going to cool it was so loud we had to talk louder to each other. WIFI that was promised did not work in room, worked in parking lot, had to stand outside in the heat. The second room had a phone cord on night stand but no phone in room. Went to desk to say sorry, thanks for trying but we can't stay here. The attitude with front desk, I assume it was the owner changed attitude to nasty. They said we switched rooms, I said it was not my fault the toilet was dirty, they were blaming me that they had to switch rooms. My husband used toilet in 2nd room, so they were going to charge $50. I offered $30, I was told $50 and that's what it's going to cost for housekeeping and now I have 2 rooms I can't rent till Tomorrow. Yet I saw the a Front desk agent go to 1st room and clean the toilet. Now that room can be rented. Nothing else was touched in either room. A change in attitude to Very rude and talked down to me. I'm surprised this place has passed health inspection. I also don't know why it still says America's Best on the ice bucket, if they no longer affiliated.
