Stuart and Kathryn are wonderful hosts and we were made to feel like special friends and not guests. The food is delicious and the bed is so comfortable. We will definitely be staying there again. If you want a special place to stay look no further than Westgate Manor.

Kathryn and Stuart are perfect hosts and their house is the perfect property! We were warmly welcomed and felt very relaxed and comfortable in their beautiful Victorian mansion. This is well above the standard of most hotels. Thoroughly recommended.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westgate Manor. Our hosts were tremendously welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. The manor itself is Victorian and furnished beautifully throughout. The breakfasts were the best we’ve eaten anywhere and my partner wanted to give a special shout out to the Eggs Benedict. A very relaxing stay!

We have just stated for two days with Kathryn and Stuart at Westgate Manor. They are so welcoming, and make you feel like private guests in a country house. All the rooms are beautiful, and our bedroom was luxurious, with a wonderfully comfortable four poster bed. The food is superb, and the gardens are delightful. We would like to have stayed for longer.

Kathryn and Stuart are wonderful hosts who make you feel very welcome in their beautiful manor. We arrived in Westgate after a very rainy C2C cycle day and Westgate Manor was the perfect place to re-energise with a hot bath and delicious home-cooked dinner. We would love to go back …

Tolles B&B mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Wir waren für fünf Tage im Westgate Manor und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Landschaft ist wirklich außerordentlich schön und die umliegenden Dörfer wie eine Filmkulisse. Wer die Ruhe sucht, wandert oder einfach entspannen möchte, ist hier richtig. Das Angebot zum Abendessen haben wir leider nicht in Anpruch genommen, weil wir den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren.

Westgate Manor is a delightful house, set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by amazing landscape. The hosts, Kathryn and Stuart, were very friendly and cooked delicious meals being very careful to cater for my husband’s gluten-free diet. We plan to return!

A great place to unwind , located in a small village in the Yorkshire Dales . The superb service from the owners , provides a relaxed atmosphere in a classic manor house and surrounding gardens . The breakfast and evening meals are very well presented and food excellent , a well stocked bar with a range of beverages and wines completes the offering to guests .

We stayed for 3 nights on this our 4th visit. The hospitality of Kathryn & Stuart has always been perfect and the meals a delight at breakfast or after a day out in the surrounding beautiful countryside. We cannot fault any aspect of Westgate Manor from the handsome building and large well furnished bedroom & bathroom to the beautifully prepared & presented meals. The surrounding countryside across the dales of the Tees, the Wear and the Tyne is stunning and refreshingly quiet cf the lakes. A gem of a place.
