Birdwood Motel

A Most comfortable bed and room. We had a room with a balcony. Large room, decorated with local art works available for purchase if you wish. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we also received a complimentary bottle of wine and a discount to the National Motor Museum which is right next door and all the conveniences you need within walking distance.

Luxurious rooms clean and very spacious. King room with balcony and spa free bottle of wine. Owners welcoming and very accommodating staying again next wknd for my birthday. Five star rating with the bonus of serene environment and so quiet at night sitting under the stars on the balcony.

So close to giving 5/5 This motel is in a lovely setting,great sized room, with Spa bath, great sized bed, 50" TV, balcony and well equiped kitchenette. Need to revise their checkin process as apparently advise guests of self check in by text message. People regularly change their phone number, or like us, when travelling buy a local sim. As a result we were left waiting to check in for 30 minutes before some other guests arrived and contacted the staff, on a different number to the one shown on the booking and the motel window. I have to say that the staff were very friendly and helpful after that. The other, minor, irritation is the fire exit sign in the room, I appreciate that the may need one but does the light on it need to be so powerful. It's like leaving the main light on all night.

I only spent the one night at the Motel and found it to be excellent. The room was exceptionally clean and sound proofing from other rooms. Or maybe other guests were very quiet :-). I had a balcony room which was spacious and well equipped. A very nice touch was a Nespresso machine and coffee pods. Not you horrible little sachets of burnt instant coffee. The motel’s location is in the lovely little village of Birdwood which has it’s very own treasures, but also ready access to many Adelaide hills attractions. Beats staying in the city.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and a very good size with balcony (room5). The bed was the best we’ve ever stayed in at a motel. The kitchenette was well equipped with tea/ coffee making facilities. The spa bath was luxurious with complimentary toiletries and even bath salts. The motel was very quiet. The only thing I could say was that the shower wasn’t very powerful. However, we would definitely recommend this motel
