What a wonderful Hotel, we had a lovely large room with views over the country side including the Windmill. The staff were great and very friendly. The interiors of the hotel had a lot of thought put into the decor, it was exceptional and very relaxing. Best of all the food, it was a real treat, so tasty, good variety, and not to forget the breakfasts - superb. We will return.

Four of us visited this hotel from Sunday until we checked out on Thursday morning. We chose it because of its location near Sandringham and Houghton Hall, also it is good for the Broads. Our room was a bit basic but comfortable. One point for the owners: a grab handle over the bath for use while showering would be a good idea and a socket near a mirror for ladies to use the hair dryer would also assist. However, the staff were outstanding throughout our stay and I have stayed in many hotels. The food was probably the most consistently excellent I have tasted anywhere! We decided to eat there every day. There is room to park but it can become a little tight in the evening but we had no issues. All in all, we were all delighted with our choice and would not hesitate to go again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys good service and good food. Well done everyone!

We came for a meal whilst on holiday in late May 2025. We had booked so we were placed at a table in the Lounge prior to being taken into the Restaurant. Joseph was extremely pleasant and helpful, and after a drink, showed us in for our meal. The Restaurant is roomy, beautifully decorated and comfortable. All the staff are friendly and very capable. Joseph, in particular, being very attentive. The food is excellent value and well presented. Everywhere is immaculate, the service is first class and the atmosphere is relaxed. We had a really lovely evening and look forward to returning.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The location, decor, service, drinks and food. The dinner and breakfast menu was varied and very high quality. The staff are very helpful and attentive and the room on the top floor was very spacious and quiet with a very nice view and a comfortable bed. There is ample parking too. It’s a great alternative to staying on the coast where it’s a lot busier and more hectic. Yet it is still only 10 mins drive to Burnham Market etc. And it was a great base to visit the coast from. First time in Norfolk which is a stunning area we would certainly stay here again next time we are in the area!

We visited this hotel this afternoon. The 20th of April for Sunday lunch. Our starters came to the table before we sat down, our mains and vegetables were extremely small portions and no one approached us to ask if everything was ok. We had to ask 3 people for drinks and also go to the bar, we eventually got our drinks at the end of our meal. Sandra the owner asked if anyone had checked on our meal and we said no and had no response getting our drinks, she rectified a wrong drink and put a wine spritzer in a pint glass. She offered no apology or even a complimentary coffee and just walked away. We shall not be returning

My husband & I stayed here from Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th for my birthday treat on Friday 25th & what a lovely hotel , from our beautiful room overlooking the front entrance (number 2) & super King comfy bed , bath to soak in plus shower if you wanted , to the beautifully cooked breakfasts & dinners we had on both nights . 2 peaceful nights sleep too . The chef is a credit to this hotel as are Joseph & Jaffet who served our drinks & took us to our table , both lovely chaps & it’s clear they are highly trained in hospitality , something that’s lacking in many places in the UK , so I feel these men need mentioning . The staff were so accommodating & friendly & surprised me with a card & chocolates for my birthday too . Our whole trip was very much appreciated how we were treated as we have stayed in many places before & this hotel & staff top them all . Thank you again for a lovely stay , we will be back . The Bircham Mill is a gem of a place just up the road , full of history & worth a visit as is Sandringham House , that’s not far .

There was no hot water for our last 3 days & no heating. Appreciate things break down but no communication. So no showers and cold in our room but nothing done to help even though we told manager. Very noisy music on Saturday pm and rowdy group at the bar Sat night. Our dining table was right by them. Small refund given for inconvenience re 2 days but should have been for 3. Will not stay here again. Bit of a ‘Fawlty Towers’!
