Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi Beach by IHG

We booked the place following Instagram reel saying kids friendly, I would say it was okay but didn’t meet our expectations (as we regularly stay the residence and I paid 30＞ higher price here compared to to residence since we wanted to try something near ferry terminal and was highly rated on IG for kids. We booked 3 nights, 2 adults one 2 years baby. Experience Good: - kids club play room big and nice, offering indoor, outdoor and splash zone free - free dine in for kids with food that kids will actually eat - got 2 pools, adult and family (with child pool). Pool size is good - they printed the ferry ticket in advance so we didn’t have to queue while going back Bad: - rooms are not so kids friendly, small shower area, too many pillows every where - king size bed is actually doesn’t feel king size but rather queen size - we walk in to restaurant for dinner 2nd night got denied cause they had bbq event running, and never suggested to book in advance (they offered slot 8 pm for 6:20 walk in) with small kid along, I am not sure they understand kid doesn’t wait fr 8 pm and the didn’t even bother to offer kids meal to at least address the kid. We ended up eating on the side fries and in room dining which takes about 45 min to 1 hour - safari we were told 9 am but then actual time was 10 am pick so we ended up waiting 1 hour at the lobby - not sure if they understand kid doesn’t like to sit for 1 hour not doing anything and we rushed our breakfast for the timing - free juices for kids and breakfast buffet is not fresh juice unless you paid then got fresh juice - breakfast buffet ok ok, no teh tarik 😝 - breakfast very limited options for vegetarian - the shuttle dropped us at the emerald class lounge where we were economh means we had to walk with baby and luggage all the way - you can only access dining area of indigo subject to you book in advance - for beach you need buggy to go not you can just walk as and when you want I would say, okay but not something I like, but it’s nearer to ferry

Our stay at the hotel was truly wonderful. The service was excellent ! Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help. They greeted us warmly each time they saw us, which made the whole experience even more pleasant. It’s a fantastic place for families. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had gotten the room with pool view on the 5th floor. I The hotel has a games room and two beautiful swimming pools: one with a pool bar called Strawbella and another with a snack bar called Kokonut, where they served cotton candy, nuggets, fries, and waffles. There’s also a fun water playground and a play centre where parents can safely leave their kids, with various activities for children to keep them entertained. Kids eat for free at the hotel and they even have a mini buffet specially set up for them. The spa was great too, clean, relaxing, and with a lovely ambience. They also offer a kids’ spa menu, including manicures, pedicures, and massages. Contacting the hotel lobby via WhatsApp made it easier for us to liaise with them if we required anything. Overall, it’s a wonderful hotel and truly deserves 10 stars!

Wonderful stay! A lovely hotel with friendly staff, delicious food, and a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Special thanks to Pak Shiddiq at the front desk for his excellent service, and Pak Andreas from Warung Pak Lagoi for his attentive and cheerful hospitality. Truly appreciated! I also love the hotel’s thoughtful initiatives for sustainability—such as the AC automatically switching from cool mode to fan mode when the balcony door is opened, and the move away from plastic water bottles. Great steps toward reducing energy use and protecting the environment. I look forward to experiencing the newly opened Chinese restaurant and the wellness centre during my next stay. Highly recommended!

This is a brand-new resort located conveniently close to the terminal and shopping malls. The hotel offers comprehensive amenities, including numerous swimming pools. The children's playground is both new and beautifully designed, featuring indoor, outdoor, and water-themed attractions that kids absolutely love. The breakfast is exceptionally varied, and the dinner buffet showcases different themes every night. The staff members are always smiling, incredibly friendly, and exhibit a warm, professional attitude. Just an hour by ferry from Singapore, the prices are significantly lower, making it an incredible value! It’s a perfect destination for a relaxing getaway, and I definitely plan to bring my kid here again next time!

Overall experience was great. However was a little disappointed on the day of check-in, as I’ve specified that I required a connecting room (travelling with young kids + helper). I’ve previously enquired if I should book 1x twin and 1x king or the booking type doesn’t matter as long as I indicated. I was told the latter so I book 2x king instead and indicated my preference of connecting room. Well… i was told connecting room is subjected to availability. What upset me was, I think the hotel doesn’t try to accommodate and pre-arranged. Furthermore I was informed “I booked 2x king instead of 1x Twin and 1x King”. It was a mad logistic headache for me and my family as it’s difficult to settle down with 3 young kids (1 is infant) + helper sleeping arrangement. Hope the management can really consider customer preference and accommodate.
