The grounds and exterior of the White House hotel is wonderful. However, other features of this hotel leave something to be desired. Firstly, if you're looking for a place to unwind by the pool with a great ocean view, you're in luck, but unfortunately the pool is not heated. The dining room was unavailable due to "construction" or "remodeling," so any food ordered (which was good) either had to be room-service or eaten at the bar. I stayed in a standard room with a king bed, which was not very comfortable. The vanity light in the bathroom was only half lit, making shaving difficult. The TV in the room was old and the back light seemed to be going out. There was a small 3 drawer dresser for clothing, but other than that, really nothing other than the nightstands to set things on (but there was a very small bistro table for the coffee maker. And the most frustrating part, the AC unit either made the room VERY cold or VERY warm. The uncomfortable bed, with thin covers and a bipolar HVAC made getting good rest impossible. For the same price or less, I could have stayed at one of the ******* with better amenities and more comfortable rooms.

This was among one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. I called ahead of time specifically to ask for a two queen room. When we got there they had put us in a king room. We had four people with us. They accommodated us the first night, but unbeknownst to us, we did not have a room the second night. Everything would have worked out except for the attitude of the staff. They made us feel like we did something wrong. They were totally unsympathetic and rude. The condition of this hotel has declined over the years also

We stayed for our anniversary 1st July. The lady on reception (sadly didn’t get her name, but she was from California) was so kind to upgrade our room to a suite with a beach view…. The room was so lovely with the biggest bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The hotel itself is easy to find, on the coast road, and has plentiful free parking. It’s very clean and classy too… aptly named. Overall a lovely stay, even though it was for only 1 night, but if we ever find ourselves on the Gulf Coast MS again, we will 100% stay here again and can completely recommend it.

Ok, so we stayed here in July 2025 and it looks amazing from the pictures online and even when you pull up but its really in need of some love. The ice machine was pouring water all over the floor, the ceiling tiles are stained throughout, the bathroom fixtures are loaded with soap and hard water stains as well as the tiles in the shower needed a good scrubbing, the windows are all pretty filthy, the pool was full of algae and in my opinion unusable, the outdoor seating was dirty and stained and unkempt. If who ever is in charge there took the time to look around they would see that this could be a great place but needs a fresh set of eyes to see the issues. Not worth the money right now, I'd stay somewhere else. Oh, but it did smell good in there but that's where the compliments end.

My favorite hotel
This is my favorite hotel. I’ve stayed here several times. It is always so comfortable, quiet and just a beautiful property. The bar and restaurant are phenomenal. My only complaint is that at this time they did not room service which they have had in the past. But had had the option to bring my food up or eat at the restaurant and bar. Still a phenomenal stay.
