Americas Best Value Inn Billings

It was a nice quiet place and clean they even got me in earlier than expected

Don’t believe the pictures on the website this is not a place you want to stay if you can afford not to. It’s in an industrial part of town just down the street from a women’s prison and on the night we stayed there, there were a changing group of up to 10 non- guests hanging round the doors and parking lot, some clearly the worse for wear. It didn’t feel safe and we took everything out of the car into our room, running the gamut of the “welcoming committee” on each trip. The rooms themselves are large, and they were clean , but they hadn’t been well maintained and everything was very basic. There was a bed, a small noisy fridge, a tiny microwave and an old rattler of an air conditioner in the window. The bathroom was old, chipped and stained. There wasn’t even a paper cup available and I had to cross a busy intersection to get a coffee from the gas station. When I got back, I discovered the Vegas is pet friendly, but that doesn’t necessarily mean friendly pets. I didn’t like the look (or sound) of the German shepherd that was moving in across the hall. I booked this hotel on the Qantas website. It was cheaper than some places but not super cheap and there was supposed to be breakfast included and a pool ( no breakfast and the pool had clearly been closed down for years). Most of the reviews were reasonable so I thought it would do for one night on our extended roadtrip. I was wrong. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

Basically you get what you pay for. Location convenient but not great surroundings. Room heater didn’t work so was moved. Room clean but very old furnishings, curtains ripped. Loud noise at about 1pm for about an hour.

Our room did not have heat...no extra room to move or a space heater for the room. Been waiting for an hour for maintence...and they still havent showed up.
