The room is good, the climbing site is good, and the food is ok. Next time you have a chance, try the camping area. It is quiet and there are few people. The entire hotel park is suitable for family outings.

A heavenly getaway in beautiful Big Sur. The best all inclusive meals I’ve had at a resort/hotel and dinner service - especially our server, Juan- was wonderful. Grounds and location are beautiful and room was spotless with great amenities. Housekeeping and turndown went above and beyond. The Japanese baths were relaxing, we did a great hike (self-guided) and though they were at capacity it never felt like it at the pools, gym or restaurant.

Literally amazing. One of the best weekends I've had in so long and one of the only trips I felt fully filled up by. It's a wellness resort vibe so it feels like you are in white lotus except everyone seems truly happy. I even asked one of the guys driving me in the cart if he liked his job and he said he loved it and the hotel treated him very well. The food is incredible and the people are too.

Short get away trip with high expectations and the Ventana delivered. When you pull together great staff, comfortable rooms and good food in such a beautiful setting, it’s hard to beat. Throw in the spa, activities and pools - and you’ve got the best adult “summer camp” type experience, with options to tailor it to your desired vacation.

Simply put, one of the nicest places we have ever stayed! If you are looking for a boutique property with fantastic amenities that also has a maximum guest capacity of roughly 120 people, then look no further! The room was great. The pool was great. The activities were great. The property was more than great - picturesque, even. The greater Monterey / Carmel / Big Sur area is absolutely beautiful. The food was FANTASTIC...and the service, even better! Absolutely cannot wait to return (hopefully sooner than later)!

Beautiful property in a great location! One of the best point redemptions in the game, and super welcoming of pets. Had a blast here and will definitely stay if coming back to stay in the area! Leo was our favorite waiter and Gracie the concierge was incredibly welcoming and helpful for planning activities!

We just returned from our second trip here and would not come back. There isn’t a ton to do, but Alila is/was/could be a nice weekend getaway as the surroundings are lovely and peaceful and the dining options are generally good, food-wise. Unfortunately 2/2 of our dinners, which should have been a tranquil, stress free cap to each day, were ruined by unwelcome, overbearing, rude visits to our table by who we can only assume was a busybody, intrusive restaurant manager at Sur House - this individual did not even exercise the decency of introducing at all who she was, so we don’t even know who interrupted our dinner. But certainly neither visit made our, nor anyone else’s, experience better. I have never had the experience of an uninvited anonymous employee come over to patronize us every chance she got. Really unacceptable behavior especially at this price point. Wholly unsatisfied with our last visit here.

Not my first time here- a great place for celebrating special occasions! Food and service is out of this world, lots of beautiful hiking trails, including the .3mi hike to the restaurant (if you don't want a ride). For a really unique experience sign up for the Falconry class!
