The room is good, the climbing site is good, and the food is ok. Next time you have a chance, try the camping area. It is quiet and there are few people. The entire hotel park is suitable for family outings.

My wife and I stayed to celebrate our anniversary but it is a FANTASTIC place for any occasion. The venue is incredible, the service first class and the food quality and variety top notch. You have to go!

Overall, excellent rooms and grounds. Food at Sur house is outstanding. Service is average or a bit below given the cost and expectation of a five star resort. Might be a Hyatt issue, but the staff do not seem very happy despite having a long tenure as employees of the hotel. The do just the minimum. 2/3 nights we did not receive turn down service. Waited 40 min at the pool for towels and our drinks causing us to be pressed for our dinner reservation that the restaurant was unwilling to change. Spa was small, but massage services were excellent. Grounds are beautiful.

We've visited several times and always have a wonderful, relaxing stay at this beautiful property. We've been lucky enough to stay in different rooms and suites on each of our visits and they have all been lovely. We especially like the forest shower suites looking out on the redwoods. The service is thoughtful and personal and we are always welcomed as returning guests. Juan at the Sur House in particular remembered us from previous trips and went out of his way to make my husband's birthday special. We love coming here for special occasions and appreciate the personal touches that the staff offer to make the celebration even better. We'll be back!
