We had the absolute best couples’ getaway at Yemaya Reefs. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The staff was so kind and attentive, and the setting—crystal-clear waters, lush greenery, and peaceful vibes—was everything we needed to disconnect and reconnect with each other. We snorkeled in the most beautiful reefs, enjoyed relaxing couple’s massages, and even joined a few retreat-style wellness sessions that left us feeling refreshed and re-centered. The food? Incredible. Fresh lobster, tropical fruits, and delicious Caribbean-inspired dishes—we looked forward to every meal! If you’re looking for a romantic escape that blends adventure with pure relaxation, this is the place. Yemaya stole our hearts, and we can’t wait to return. ✨

My husband and I chose Yemaya Reefs to celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary and were really looking forward to what we thought would be a relaxing, luxurious experience. We haven’t arrived yet, but I wanted to share some concerns about the booking process that have already caused a lot of unnecessary stress. After booking our non-refundable room, we reached out to arrange the boat transfer as instructed. That’s when we were told there are only two pangas per day, and if our flight doesn’t match those times, we’d have to pay $250 for a private boat. The site mentions a $34.50 per person fee, which led us to believe transportation would be aligned with flights—not something this rigid or expensive. When I questioned the policy and pointed to the phrasing on the site, the response was that a shared transfer might happen if other guests arrive on the same flight, but there’s no guarantee. That level of uncertainty isn’t what you expect from a resort at this price point. There are only three flights to the island each day, so it’s frustrating that this wasn’t made clearer upfront. Guests should be informed of transfer timing limitations before being asked to commit to a non-refundable reservation. It feels like something that should be built into the service or at least better explained in advance. We’re still hopeful about our stay, but this interaction hasn’t inspired confidence. I really hope the resort reconsiders how they handle arrival logistics and provides more transparency moving forward.
