Oman Desert Private Camp

Wow,this was an amazing experience.To start off it was chucking it down but Fatima and Ali made us feel so safe and welcome. We loved the room it was so good and the beds were so comfy.We woke up in the morning and atmosphere of the desert was so peaceful and nice.We rode some camels 🐪 and had an awesome time riding the quad bikes with Ali .Ali was amazing with some great views and amazing videos we an terrific day.I would 100% recommend going if you are looking for a fun thing to do with children and family.Tracy’s best friend is Ali and Fatima they are so nice.

Staying at Oman Private Desert Camp was a highlight of our Oman trip! We booked two 360 rooms for our group and enjoyed fabulous views, comfortable sleeping arrangements and modern amenities (AC!) while experiencing the desert! The staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming — communication beforehand was excellent, and they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. A delicious breakfast and dinner were included in the price, and we enjoyed riding camels at sunrise and under the stars. Our hosts even arranged a trip to Wadi Bani Khalid at our request, and it was the perfect way to escape the desert heat during midday. We also brought family games to play indoors when it was too hot to be outside. Each house had a very comfortable king sized bed & full bath, and the staff kindly supplied floor mattresses and bedding for our kids. Highly recommend booking a night or two here to round out your Oman experience!

Animal abuse was allowed. First of all it's abusive to ride camels but even worse, this company allowed guests to stand on the camels backs for photos. I was appalled. Other than that, very little sleep due to partiers. Ridiculous waste of money.

Host Ali and his friend were wonderful hosts. We were met by them at the edge of the desert and were able to drive our own rental car behind them to the desert camp. Afterwards we enjoyed a wild dune bashing, a delicious dinner and a barefoot tour in the dark looking for scorpions - a really special experience. Our tent on stilts really had everything you could wish for to spend the night in the desert. Even a bathroom including a shower was available. The night we had spontaneously spent under the stars on our own terrace and used the mats as a base. Only from the handling of the camels in the neighborhood we were somewhat shocked. Ali had confided in us that the camels get rather little to eat, so that they obey with the tourists and have no excess energy. For this reason, the desire for a camel ride has passed us then something.
