Wingate by Wyndham Macon I-75

The location was a bit tricky to get to from the highway. But the staff was kind and very welcoming. Breakfast was good.

Clean economical, centrally located. The hotel was well maintained in a convenient neighborhood with lots of food options nearby. I would stay again.

We were traveling through and booked before hand. First they tried to cancel our reservation! Because they were getting busy! We had 4 rooms booked. Called and got that straightened out. Our room was ok. One bed was nice and one was very hard. Room temp and TV was very good. Went down to breakfast the next morning. What a joke! I was there at 7:15 am. No large groups of people. Scrambled eggs were ice cold! Biscuits were pretty good. Sausage gravy barely warm, sausage links overcooked and barely warm. 1 banana and zero yogurt. I then watched her bring out 2 yogurt and 3 bananas. Let's make a good impression! Not! I stay at Wingate in Plainfield IN, often, they know how to serve breakfast!

More than nice for the price, quiet, spacious and easily accessible to the highway and other restaurants.

Awful roaches be aware I don’t know where to begin. This was supposed to be a relaxing business trip, but turned out to be a nightmare. Being a frequent traveler, one could really depend on the quality of a hotel from loyal customers who write reviews. Unfortunately, the current ratings on this hotel is far beyond misleading. Upon checking in the host was very respectful and professional. I must get that out of the way first. But this is when everything fell apart. As I retrieve my hotel keys, headed to the elevator I was greeted by a roach, crawling out of the elevator. I said to myself, maybe this is something isolated so I proceeded to my room upon entering the the room I felt a strong odor slapped me in the face which smelled like cigarette smoke. I proceeded to put my things down to finish looking over the room to make sure it was clean. I did my usual lift the mattress and pull the covers back to inspect the bed. I’ll be laying in.. To my surprise, I found hair and food crumbs all underneath the mattress, I found it quite disgusting. When I got up from looking under the mattress, I found two roaches crawling up the wall, and I knew at this point I had to immediately go back downstairs to report my findings. When I got to the lobby, I was next in line but then, There was another guest entered the hotel and stood behind me, awaiting to be checked in. So at this point, I made a conscious decision to not embarrass the hotel by allowing the arriving guest to go before me so I can report my finding
